Nice family oriented place to eat. The food was delicious as well as nice a portion size. It was delightful to meet Ms. Mary, the owner. We will definitely be returning sometime soon.
It's the kind of food that tastes like if someone else cooked it, it'd taste different. What I mean is, I feel like any reasonable person could work in the kitchen at Cracker Barrel. The food at Apple Dumpling Bar is better than Cracker Barrel, in my opinion, but it also has character, or something. Like, even day-to-day things might change a little. The meatloaf might be better today than tomorrow...in a good way. Legit "meat and three" cooking.
Best place I ever went they have chitterlings every Saturday and they are so good I met the owner at the post office where she work and she told me to visit I'm so happy I did the dressing and bake chicken is good the customer service is so good outstanding home cook meal
