If you plan on making reservations, know that they will in fact cancel your reservations (the day before you dine) if another party offers to "buyout" the restaurant for a private party. I can assure you, I will not be dining there ever in the future.
The Yard canceled our dinner reservations at the last minute because they had someone buy out the evening. I am sure we aren’t the only ones they treated this way. So basically if you make a reservation.. your reservation means nothing. Instead of negotiating a different date for the buy out client, they disrespected the customers who booked well in advance and made plans to dine at The Yard for our special occasion. Despite the long waits for water and order taking, the environment is great for brunch, allowing friends to enjoy conversations.
