“If anyone ever worked for their money, the Hontzas family sure has. First of all, they’re usually very busy but they sure know how to keep the line moving and get everyone seated promptly. In the food line there’s something for everyone. This is one of the few places where I could get all vegetables. The neighborhood is a bit rough but don’t let that discourage you from going bc people from all sides of town eat here.“
“First time at this restaurant. Great food and great customer service. You blink and you'll drive right by it. Some great restaurants come in small sizes! I'll be going back. Shrimp and Grits were very good. Peach pie was off the chain. Trying the Ox Tails next!“

“I rarely go to Green Acres but every so often I need a little “comfort” food. The employees here were extremely friendly, the food was good. They have no control of the foolery that walks through the door. I wish that people could suppress the bad attitudes until they leave. The patrons makes it NOT kid friendly.“

“I made a trip of 20 miles just to get family loaded baker potatoes and my lick they were out and wait time was 30 mins. Well I waited and when they were ready a young lady came out and let me know. Can’t complain about service. And Im glad I waited, it was worth it. Even though I forgot my sons corn on cob he forgave me.“
“I was in town for a wedding this weekend and stayed at The Kelly. The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are very spacious for being in a historic building. The price was fantastic for such a nice hotel in a good location. The staff is unbelievably friendly and welcoming. I didn't get the names of the front desk workers but they were absolutely terrific! The valets are some of the best I've ever encountered. Eric, Tory and Thomas went out of their way to be helpful every single time. One evening I accidentally left a bag in the car and Thomas volunteered to go all the way back to the parking garage to get it for me. From now on, when I am in Birmingham I won't be staying anywhere else but The Kelly. I suggest you do too!“

“When we visit from Mississippi, we eat at Full Moon at least once. My favorite thing is the Fried Green Tomato’s and the carrot cake. I need to find out what kind of HoneybMustard Sauce they use, the best I ever had. 💜💛“

“Popped in breakfast at the Harvest, which is located in a hotel. Only one server who was trying to manage 15 tables and doing the best she could, all while maintaining a smile and managing to check on me enough. Got the redmont special with scrambled eggs which were okay, some kind of Alabama sausage which was really good, the seasoned potatoes which were delicious and I just wished I had more of the larger pieces, and the cheese grits which were okay. Overall I liked the breakfast and the area.“

“Last night my mother and I went to the Bessemer location. We had the Shrimp dinner and Friday Fish. Our server was excellent, the food was hot and the biscuits cooked well. THANKS TO THE ENTIRE CREW THAT WORKED LAST NIGHT on August 1!“
