“This place has been my favorite for years! Their food is made extremely well (coming from a picky eater), the workers are always nice even when you can see that they’re tired, and I’ve never seen the place dirty. I decided to write a review after this long was because of my experience today. I ordered my typical order, but asked for only brown sugar on the grape salad. When I tell you- they UNDERSTOOD the assignment! Just wanted to thank them for being kind in tiny ways😁👍“

“I love having Dockside open up Hwy 43 to give us another option for dinner close to home! If you haven’t tried the fried shrimp or the catfish, you’re definitely missing out! There’s just something extra about the breading that had me eating ALL my shrimp and not sharing with my husband! 🤣 Highly recommend checking it out!“

“City Cafe has been our favorite little place for over 30 yrs. This cafe is an absolute gem! Sweet tea and dumplings are excellent! Breakfast and lunch here is incredibly delicious. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, perfect for catching up with friends. The owners are great and the staff are friendly and really go the extra mile to make you feel welcome - definitely a go-to spot in the neighborhood!"“

“Was working in Tuscaloosa and a restaurant with a two hour wait recommended the River. We had the steak filet and the seared tuna. Both dishes were absolutely amazing. The service was outstanding and the whole experience was just classy and comfortable. Brussel sprouts were on special for an appetizer, they were the best we’ve ever had. I highly recommend this restaurant.“

“Met a friend here for lunch and overall had a really pleasant experience. The chicken salad was pretty good—not the best I’ve ever had, but solid and enjoyable. The food felt light and satisfying without being heavy, which made for a good lunch choice.
The service was friendly, the restaurant was clean, and the atmosphere was comfortable and easy for catching up with a friend. Nothing overly memorable or standout, but everything was done well.
It’s the kind of place I’d return to when I want something reliable, fresh enough, and simple. I’d eat here again.“

“Ate there on 1/12/25 for breakfast and it was delicious. Waitress was great, could tell she really cared and liked her job. My breakfast was perfect, but my wives French toast was amazing and came out looking like a presentation on a high end cooking show.“

“I must say, this is truly one of the best places in Tuscaloosa, my fiancee loves the urban cowboy sandwich, we walked in and she immediately knew what she wanted. I however didn’t, I asked the gentleman at the counter and gave him 3 options of what I think sounds good on the menu and asked him which of those are the best? He said he personally likes the buffalo wrap he went into detail on how it’s not too spicy but very flavorful, AND WHEN I TELL YOU I ALMOST CRIED WHEN I BIT INTO THE FIRST BITE! The only con I have is there are some “chewy” parts in the meat I didn’t like as much but the wrap itself and the service alone was A1, you don’t expect much out of places here in Tuscaloosa/Northport due to it being majority college kids who has no customer service BUT HERE was amazing. Thank you sir“

“This was my husband & I first time visiting here. We was in Tuscaloosa,AL for the East Carolina VS Alabama 1st game of the season. Of course, AL won! The price is very reasonable, customer service & food is good. We love visiting local restaurants.“

“We visit at least once or twice a month usually on a Wednesday the food and drinks are always delicious 😋 And never had a problem with the service and we’ve been visiting since they were on the corner downtown, but this past Wednesday November 18, 2020 our server was horrible she had the nastiest attitude and demeanor. First thought was because we African American but we soon realized that wasn’t it she treated two other tables with the same curtness and attitude. Hopefully next visit will be better“
