Whit's Frozen Custard of Daphne

My family went here every single week for two years before Covid and it was fantastic! I told everyone they had to try it even if it’s a drive. The last 2 years as the prices have increased the quality has decreased also so we go less and less because it’s disappointing every single time. We are so sad. I would pay the higher prices because it would still be worth it if the custard was made like before. I paid 7.67 for a pint that had 3 swirls of caramel and 5 bites of pie and 2 of those pie bites were only pie crust. No apple or caramel. That’s crazy! The toppings are less and less. I’ve had several that had big empty sections through the pint/quart. So disappointing and we miss it but will not try again.

Great customer service

It’s just custard. The building is very small. Not worth the wait and hassle. Daphne desperately needs more ice cream/custard options.

Great little place

Perfect local place for a cold treat on a hot summer day. Great selection of flavors. Key Lime Cheesecake is a favorite of mine.

Whit's Frozen Custard is has delcicious frozen treats, amazing staff, and even when they are busy, they still have fast service.

I love getting the whitser with extra brownie & cookie dough bites, I've gotten it for years.

We are from the Birmingham area and stay in Mobile area two to three times per year and always look forward to Witt’s Frozen Custard. Our last three times we have been disappointed. Last time I spoke up and it was better but they obviously didn’t change. Just left there and toppings almost non existent. Our total was $14+ and we felt totally ripped off. What a shame

We get a different total everything we go, even when we order the same thing. Its strange, but has not stopped us from going. We love the Hawaiian luau whitser!!

My visit today was unfortunately overshadowed by the unprofessional conduct of three employees. The first waited on me. When I mentioned a minor request for additional hot fudge, a young black woman came to the window and responded to my simple request with an eye roll. I found this to be an unnecessarily dismissive gesture that set the tone for the rest of the experience. The next, Kaitlin (with blue hair), who identified herself as a manager, chose to argue over whether my order had enough hot fudge and declined to make a minor correction. Instead of addressing the issue efficiently, she insisted on remaking the entire item, creating unnecessary waste and delaying the line of customers behind me.

Both employees mentioned came across as curt and unaccommodating; this is hardly what one expects in a customer-facing role. This location has a track record of service with bad attitudes (I guess they have a lot of “bad days”), and unfortunately, today was no exception. I sincerely hope management takes steps to retrain staff on basic professionalism, attitude and courtesy. As it stands, this drive-thru would greatly benefit from some nearby competition. Perhaps then attention to respectful customer service would become a priority.

My wife and I were visiting from out of town, found this place, and made a couple trips over the course of our week because we enjoyed it so much. I had a banana split which I loved and my wife had the Funky Monkey (flavor of the week). That latter was even more amazing on the second trip with adding melted carmel on top! I also tried the Root Beer float on my second outting. Pretty standard float, their vanilla custard and it came with a can of root beer. Ask for samples of the ice cream and they can easily accommodate. All the seating is outdoors and the tables have umbrellas, but it is still toasty in July even in the shade. We sat outside both times. You can always go the drivethru and not break a sweat.

Amazing!!! Never even heard of frozen custard before coming to Alabama, let me just tell you… Even better than ice cream and does Not contain lactose!!! Woohoo!! ♥️🥰

The frozen custard I ordered was delicious!
The person at the window was really helpful by answering all my questions. I was even given a sample of the flavor of the month. Very good.

The best custard you can buy. Better than any ice cream.
