The chef at Catherine’s Market supplies them with the best quiches and blueberry muffins— I usually get one of those with an iced honey latte and it makes for the perfect breakfast while I study or do work. “We are there this evening! Driving by you wouldn’t even think it to be a restaurant if you don’t see the probably 40 year old portable Marquee sign out front. Definitely a place to stop if you are ever traveling through the area. Food is all homemade, I had a seafood platter and my wife had the whole catfish platter. Everything was good as it could get, I cleared my plate and my wife had to get a doggie bag, she could finish everything as is how it normally goes with her. It ran us around $55 tip included. The owner not sure if his name is Truman or not but said he had owned the place for ten years. He came out to check on us several times as well as the cook. Very rural area this is located at. Paper plates and red solo cups are how you are served. I would give it a rating of 8 of 10. The only down side is they only open in the evening three days a week. But if it ain’t broke don’t fix it.”

I know a lot of the younger staff personally and I appreciate the fact that they are out working and learning the value of a dollar. Today though, I overheard a member of management yelling at the kitchen staff for a little mix up on the order placed by someone a few customers in front of me. I have worked for 3 years at a very busy and very popular Lake Martin restaurant and I have never spoken to anyone or heard a member of management speak to anyone like this lady was speaking to her staff today. Mistakes happen but it wasn’t anything that couldn’t be fixed easily. Yelling at the staff is unacceptable and not the way to keep good staff, which is hard to come by these days. HR: Listen closely to the staff’s complaints because they are legit and need to be addressed.”

“We had General Tso's chicken and Cashew Chicken and enjoyed both dishes. Both dishes were a little on the "dry" side but because they are now a Take-Out only restaurant, maybe the 20 minute drive home contributed to that issue. Overall a good experience, the order was ready when I arrived, it was correct, portions were large and was not over priced.”

Kid-friendliness: Everytime I come in here with my two toddlers to order my oldest likes to run and the management is so nice to her my daughters love her!

Anyway there's a young man in there that didn't dilly dally about helping me 100% with everything to do with my car.
