Restaurantji's Fort Payne guide: Where to find the best Mexican flavors.
“Should you ever find yourself in Fort Payne, Alabama, your reasons are your own, be sure to stop by Mi Ranchito. The food here is amazing! The Quesabirria is top shelf! The consommé exactly what you dream about when you think of consommé and be sure to ask about the house made hot sauce.“
“It is our tradition to stop here and eat after climbing all day at Little River Canyon, which is almost every weekend. It is the best authentic Mexican food in the state of Alabama in my opinion. I tried others in Fort Payne and they do not come close! Chorizo Burrito with their green sauce is my go to.“
“Randomly found this place on Google maps but this hangs down the best Mexican food I've had in Alabama. The steak in my tacos was perfectly well seasoned and tender. Great drink's, perfect for, and friendly service all for a fair price.“
“Hole in the wall type place, we almost didn't go in...guess it's a local secret. Typical Mexican food done well. We Were just passing through town and hungry. They had a banner stating that they won" best of" 2023, so we gambled. Had the speedy lunch which ran until 3, we arrived at 2. The pork burrito was absolutely delicious. Simmered long and slow, so tender. The local police were also eating there so I imagine they should know what's good, lol.“
“My family and I have came here for years and it’s our favorite spot. They have some of the best food around (+ Horchata!) and great hospitality! It’s always very clean with a great atmosphere and if something is wrong they have always been more than willing to make it right! Thank you for the awesome service ?“
“My brothers and I were traveling all day and stopped in at this Taco Bell, and let me tell you, this is the best taco bell I've ever been to. The food was spectacular, and the service was amazing. Fort Payne Taco Bell is amazingThanks, y'all!!“
“Buffet was great, and I mean GREAT! Service wasn't bad by any means, but not great. Atmosphere fits the name, I wish the tables were a little bigger, but the thing that matters, THE BUFFET WAS AMAZING! Cheesecake and strawberries was 10/10 as well (on the buffet! Not extra! I love cheesecake lol)“
“The service was fast. The young lady that waited on us was friendly. The food was good. I ordered the same thing I always order, the Nachos BellGrande combo. My two young nieces ordered the Cheesie Roll ups and those delicious Cinnamon Twists. The only downside to Taco Bell is they don't serve Coke products. I'm not a Pepsi product person. Coke just tastes so much better.“
“This place nailed it on food, service and all of the tiny details that make a difference. I’m so happy I stumbled upon this place. I ordered the chicken quesadilla which I recommend. I got a pico de gallo to put on mine and added sour cream. The. I got the green tomatillo sauce which is just the right amount of tang and theirs is blended smooth and creamy so no bits of tomatoes for people that have texture issues. Everything was delicious AND before I left, I saw someone with a drink/slush concoction and the lady at the ordering desk had them make me up a sample to taste and OMG, yes! I ordered the AMAZING MANGONADA. It is shown in the pictures here. Oh my goodness it is a must try for mango lovers! I love this place!! I do recommend and I hope to be back the next time I’m in town.Parking: On the side in a gravel parking area. 10 to 20 feet to the Tacos TownKid-friendliness: There were kids here and they seemed to enjoy the outdoor eating area here“
