“If you live anywhere in Alabama, you owe it to yourself to get here. This place is the only reason I stop in this state. You will never have a single bad meal here. Also, doesn’t hurt that chef James is easy on the eyes. But seriously, the sweet tea alone. Mmmm mmmDon’t sleep on this spot. You’ll regret it.“

“Amazing - far exceeded our expectations!!!Our hotel recommended this restaurant and gave details on what they liked about it. It sounded unique, so we gave it a try. OMG! It had a great atmosphere in a little neighborhood shopping center. The service was great, our server was friendly and took great care of us. They have Bushwackers! We also had two of the grits and green dishes - pulled pork and blackened catfish. Both were delicious! And, we had the butterscotch bread pudding. Everything was SO good! What a great experience.“
“One of the best places I’ve came to since I’ve been in Alabama one thing I can say the line is always out the door so come early the food stay hot and if you want anything fried you better tell him early I don’t want to make grandma mad“
“Back in town for a few days and tried Granny's. It was a great decision. the food is really really good. I love the talapia plate and my wife loves the grits with shrimp sausage or bacon. They open up on Thursdays and you should do yourself the favor of stopping by.“
“First time at this restaurant. Great food and great customer service. You blink and you'll drive right by it. Some great restaurants come in small sizes! I'll be going back. Shrimp and Grits were very good. Peach pie was off the chain. Trying the Ox Tails next!“

“I don't get a chance to eat here as often as I would like, best Soul Food in Birmingham, Al DON'T Debate me on this. But when I do like today the Food is still alwaysssssssss a 10/10 Every-time! The Customer Service is always great, did I mention the Food is always delicious? If you want some good Soul Food and your in Birmingham, Al and your not at Eagles, I need you to get there now you will not be disappointed!“
“Audrey's is off the beaten path on 6th Avenue South and worth a try if you want down home southern cooking and a friendly visit with the ladies who run the place. They don't have cocktails but they make a mean Arnold Palmer and they give you just the right amount of attention to make sure you have everything you need. It's a basic dining room with casual ambiance so you can pop in during the work day and feel right at home. Our food was very good. I had the salmon patty and my friend had fried fish. We got a choice of sides which we were very happy with.“
“We were working in the area last week and decided to give Jake’s a try! It was delicious! There was no wait, the server was super nice, the food came out quick, & everything was great! We both decided to get the Jamaican Jerk Chicken, with corn bread, Mac and cheese, fried okra, and rice! It was all delicious! The chicken is a little spicy (which we like) but if you don’t do spicy, you might want to choose a different option! For dessert we got the strawberry cake! Everything was great, we will definitely go back in the future! (We even had some left overs)“
