“Saw's BBQ & Juke Joint Mountain Brook serves fantastic Barbeque and of course listening to the Blues! My Dad and I were there around 1:30PM Wednesday where a few at the Bar and us only on the food side, we had some laughs with Suede our server, very Cool guy and Jordan his girlfriend at the bar is a Spiderman fan like me! Dad and I enjoyed the Pulled Pork Plates and baked beans with long uncut fried okra (first time I have ever had it served like that, less time stabbing with a fork, ate em like fries!) So we gave it all a 👍🏻 THUMBS UP!!“

“RUN don't walk.....seriously. We did a catering order for 13 people for ribs and chicken with mac & cheese, green beans, peach Lem-onade, and chocolate cheesecake. First of all the smoky flavors on the meats are to die for. The sides all had amazing flavor. Sometimes mac&cheese is dry - not this stuff. So good and her green beans - have meat in them so you know they were cooked like collards would be. So amazing. Now - chocolate cheesecake - it will change your life....people are still talking about our lunch. Makes me think her beans would be really good too. I have been told that the okra is the best around but will have to try that a different time.“

“Look past where this place is, it's Birmingham, the whole place sucks, just focus on what you're ordering and don't hand out change. It'll start a feeding frenzy with the locals. Good food from a slept on eatery. Lock your doors when you go in.“

“Ruby's has the very best down home cooking I have ever eaten ! Everything on the menu is fresh (nothing canned) You have to eat it to believe it !!!!!!“
“First time at this restaurant. Great food and great customer service. You blink and you'll drive right by it. Some great restaurants come in small sizes! I'll be going back. Shrimp and Grits were very good. Peach pie was off the chain. Trying the Ox Tails next!“

“A great restaurant to get food that is delicious and home style cooked. It is the definition of Soul Food. Definitely worth the visit to eat on a Sunday. Suggest to get there before noon or probably after 2PM. It is one price ( $18) per person that is all inclusive of all you can eat, drink, and dessert.“

“I ordered liver and onions, sweet potato casserole, macaroni and cheese, and cornbread today for my dinner. It was absolutely delicious and I even have some left for tomorrow. I definitely recommend everyone try the food.“
