The ladies here are great!
Good food and reliable service
This little food and big beverage place at gate 6 at Montgomery Airport (MGM) offers several sandwich options, but mostly slices and pizza varieties. Pepsi products and Red Bull in the freezer case with several beers on tap and a fairly ample liquor stash for the bar. Service is good and quick.
I got a local sausage on an egg bun. Delic!

RUNWAY 28 is a small bistro located within the MGM Airport, conveniently situated next to Gate 6. Despite its limited menu and airport setting, the restaurant offers a satisfactory dining experience. The food is simple and keeps hunger away, with popular choices including the grilled chicken club sandwich on a brioche bun with fresh lettuce and tomato. Customers also enjoy the BLTA (bacon, lettuce, tomato, and avocado) sandwich and the JBLTA (jalapeno bacon option). The friendly staff, especially Victoria, provides attentive service, ensuring condiments, napkins, and plastic ware are always available.
The seating area is compact, with only nine barstools inside, but additional seating is available outside near Gate 6. Although the menu is limited and prices are typical for an airport, the food is generally well-received, aside from the fries which are sometimes undercooked and unseasoned. Travelers appreciate the casual atmosphere and good company, especially when the staff’s kindness and service shine through, making it a convenient and pleasant spot for a quick meal in the airport.
