Smelled this wonderful, smoky BBQ aroma from the next block over, stopped in and had a meal that was one of the most outstanding I've ever had. Got smoked chicken with blackeyed peas and smoked mac and cheese, along with honey-buttered toast and it was a truly exceptional meal. Only had the catfish ... was excellent. Plus, the fried green tomatoes were perhaps the best I have ever had. The atmosphere is simple, but I didn't come for that. Also took an order to go, and it was just as good. Parking can be a challenge, but once you figure it out, no problem.
