Restaurantji's Jacksonville recommendations for the finest Mexican cuisine.
“It was mine and my husband’s first time after we have been following Heirloom Taco on Insta. We drove all the way from Gadsden and it was soooooo worth the drive! We each had a taco plate with different tacos. I had the fried chicken, carne asada and the birria tacos with pinto beans and Mexican rice. It was awesome. I also ordered the tastiest spicy mango margarita and my husband ordered the oatchata and that was delicious as well. The staff was also very kind and accommodating. We loved the decor and the location! All around, very great spot! We will be making the drive back!“
“Absolutely blew expectations out of the water the definition of fast food. I ordered food got food super fast and it was good. Great customer service. The set up you had tonight keep it and give them raises please hahaKid-friendliness: I got a thank you when I got my order felt nice to be taken care of. Great business model“
“Well a gas station/restaurant but separated(same owner). Very small place but I always want to try a new spot. Got a menu and very reasonable prices so I got myself a burrito with nothing but a spicy mixture of meat and potatoes peppers etc.. and cheese. It was a large super stuffed burrito and very very tasty. At the price I'd say worth it definitely especially as prices are shooting up all over. I know this was made as just heated up and serve so I'm not sure if everything will be same or not. Not knowing who or where stuff comes from is a bit worry some but again owner really tries to do right by his clientele. Cheers“
“In the area doing some estate sale shopping! Popped in for lunch, and were so glad we did! Awesome food and service! I didn't catch our servers name, but she was very attentive & friendly. Will definitely stop again when in the area. I built my own platter. I had a beef/cheese chile rellano, a chicken tamale, and a beef burrito. It came with rice & beans. I had them put cheese sauce on top. Loved their chips and salsa too!!“
“Personal opinion only means so much, each person has their own tastes, i enjoyed a Fajita quesadilla, large cheese dip and a side of jalapenos, never ate fajitas before i visited, they tasted nice for me but my friend said tasted dry, that was probably because it fell out the quesa. Overall i enjoyed it here, would go again.“
“Our first visit and are extremely happy. We arrived about 5:30 and sat right down. Everything we had from salsa, cheese dip, chorizo cheese dip, chips and meals we all loved except for the beans. Everyone thought they tasted a bit funky but we weren't there for the beans anyways lol. Definitely a good solid Mexican spot???“
“Went through the drive through on the way home. Got a Mexican pizza extra sauce extra cheese and sour cream. Absolutely delightful to open when I got home. Thanks to guys in lenlock alabama!! Know it's hard to serve that time of night.“
“My husband and I moved to Calhoun County in 2020 and have been eating at Baja every week since we arrived. It is so consistently good. Rarely have we ever waited for a table, even though the place is perpetually full. They are just great at turning things around. Tonight, though, we discovered they have a new chef, and an always top-notch restaurant has actually become better. The chef's new enchilada sauce and ground beef are magical. Their fajita butter makes anything addictive. If you are looking for healthy options, get a plate of their veggies from the a la carte menu. Or get the huge bowl of their chicken soup with generous portions of avocado in it. Their staff and managers are wonderful. It's very kid-friendly. TVs to watch your ball games. Great decor around holidays. Visit!“
