Was charged a tip on my card that was not authorized! Waitress received a cash tip well over 20% and then charged my card when the base and total amount were the same. I do have sloppy handwriting, so I spoke with them on Wednesday, chalked it up to a mistake with my hand writing. They said they would give me an update “ASAP”, it’s now Monday! Villa Del Rey Cocina Mexicana "Legacy Village" is a popular Mexican restaurant known for its solid Mexican fare, although it is more expensive than other Mexican spots in the area. The service can be hit or miss, but the fresh and tasty chips, flavorful salsa, and delicious menu items like the Fiesta Bowl with ground beef, poblano pepper with cheese, and fajita nachos steak make it a go-to spot for many. Customers praise the great menu selections, good service, nice ambiance, and most importantly, the delicious food, especially the fajitas pastor. The owner's friendly and attentive approach adds to the overall positive dining experience.
The restaurant is praised for its friendly and caring hostess and servers. The food is seasoned to perfection, with the hard tacos being light and crispy. However, some customers have experienced mediocre food, such as a small portion of average rice and beans with no flavor, and a greasy-tasting Chicken Chimichanga that was not fried as stated. Despite these mixed reviews, Villa Del Rey remains a current, go-to spot for Mexican cuisine for many.
