That was the best cheeseburger I’ve had in a long while, and the sweet potato fries were delicious too! The staff was friendly. If you are hard of hearing like me, you’ll appreciate that they ring a cowbell when your food is ready!
My dad grew up eating at Mel’s.. and it was always the first stop he made when we came to town to visit, or just passing through. He’s gone now.. but now as an adult, I continue the tradition with my own children whenever I’m in town.. Always a steak sandwich & fries with a sweet tea.. although after taking a bite of my boyfriend’s shrimp po boy today, I might have to order both next time ??.
