The customer service at this restaurant is amazing. My mother-in-law is spending some time with us, she's from the Smith lake area, she always wants to eat at our EL JACK'S food is always fresh. We went thru the drive thru her card wouldn't work the chip was damaged, it was closing time, they waited for us to go down the street to the convenience store to get cash from the ATM, that didn't work, she wanted to go back and see if they could type the number in. My husband bought us breakfast on Valentine's Day (2-14-24). I picked it up through the drive-thru. Their service was fast and friendly. The food was hot and fresh. The biscuits were even heart shaped. Thank you to the crew that worked today!

The staff is nice and the restaurant is clean. It is located in a good spot for those traveling between Decatur, AL and I-22. However, the two times that I stopped in the past couple of weeks, the food has been lukewarm/cool, especially the chicken sandwiches. My guess is that they are cooking plenty in advance and they are sitting in the warmer for a while. I appreciate the speed of service but the quality of the food experience is lacking.
