“The name says it all. You know you’re going in for some delicious, down-home, classic southern cooking. It’s not fancy or award-winning. It’s simply comfort food for a reasonable price.
This no frills diner with modest decor offers tasty chicken fingers, flavorful fried catfish, and crisp crinkle-cut fries. I really love the seasoning in the fish batter! And the employees are always super friendly. It’s a worthy stop if you’re craving southern food in the Auburn area.“

“I think there used to be a Guthrie’s in Homewood, Al years ago. I stopped here last night after going to two Popeyes restaurants and their credit card system was down. I had the 3 strips snack. Guthrie’s always seems not busy to me, like no one is there. Not too much advertising going on for this chain. I must say that my experience was excellent. The strips were cooked to order and very juicy. Everything was hot and fresh. The barbecue sauce I got with them was good too. Will be going back.“

“Just picked up lunch. Chicken, fries and okra. Had to wait for it to cool before we could eat it. Not a complaint. It is so unusual to get hot food at a fast food place. Oder was correct, everything was great. Pieces of chicken were huge.“

“Unusual for Chick-fil-A but the parking lot and drive-thru line were a complete mess. We could not even get in the Drive-Thru line to pick up my mobile order. The parking lot was complete chaos. I had to go inside while my husband left the parking lot and change my order to pick up inside to get out of all that chaos“
