“Had no idea this was a buffet. I don't see well. It clearly says buffet in their signage. I don't do buffets but was starving and limited with time. So I entered and ate some of the best Asian food I've had in a while. The spring rolls and crab Rangoon were great. The hot and sour about what you usually get. The other stuff I got was very tasty. The buffet was clean and supplied very well. I'll go back.“
“New to location area and wanted a quick lunch. The prices were good. We got 2 chicken with 2 sides, those being noodles and eggroll. We spent $19. To me it was like mall Asian food. The plate was packed. I loved the honey chicken but the orange chicken had way too much sauce in it. I didn’t like the egg roll at all. The garlic chicken looked questionable, but it was good. But the service was pleasant and if I’m craving that mall vibe without being at the mall, I’ll definitely hit them up again!“
“The food is always piping hot and delicious! The flavors are amazing, and it's never too salty or too sweet. The customer service is also outstanding. The staff makes it seem like they're sincerely happy to make the customer happy. The portions are huge, we have never been able to finish the dinner portion. Outstanding, overall!“
“This is the absolute best Chinese food I have ever tasted and I lived in NYC for many years where these places are in abundance, I was amazed at how quick my order was delivered and the superior quality and taste were mind blowing, this is the only place I will order this type of cuisine from and I am very happy to have found it! A+++ and Delicious, highly recommend“
“Ordered lunch special of kung pao chicken, egg roll and fried rice. It was excellent! There was a good amount of chicken in there and the vegetables were cut into large pieces. I also ordered some clear soup and it was also excellent. Would highly recommend.“
“The best Chinese restaurant in Huntsville! The value is seriously unbeatable, and the food is fantastic. Been eating here for the past 8 years and have never had any problems, and been a happy costumer every time. Try it out, you won’t be dissatisfied!“
“I touched no when it asked if I recommended this place! I would never go back here Went on a Friday night. Why is it so dark in there? Could barely see what we were eating. We ordered sweet and sour chicken and some kind of mixed meat and vegetables dish. You could see the chicken ok because of the neon glow of the generic sweet and sour sauce. The pot of mixed stuff, however, was a game of guess what you’re going to get. Didn’t matter anyway, the stuff was bland and boring and since there was seafood in it, too, it all tasted fishy. The potstickers wraps were so thick and gummy. The filling inside was like a clump of chewed up chicken. I was so glad when the fortune cookies came so i could eat something good. The place needs to be lit up more so you can actually see what you are eating. We had to keep using out cell phone flashlights to see things.“
“We stopped by to give the place a try. Last time the food wasn't as good as they normally prepare. This time it was lots better. My hope for great Mei Fun has returned. We used to frequent this restaurant at least once a month. COVID hit and things changed. They are back open with their buffet now. I have never tried the buffet. It is clean and looks great. I am not a fan of someone else's hands touching the spoons and dropping them in the food on the buffet so I pass. The service is lightning fast and food was good. We'll try it again and let you know.“
“We moved to Huntsville last year, and have been disappointed with the Chinese restaurants we've tried. Tonight we drove over to OXR to try China Cook, and were very pleased with what we found. The best egg rolls we've had in town, full of vegetables and generously flecked with bits of roast pork and perfectly fried. My hot and sour soup was good, but for my taste could have used a bit more black pepper punch and a bit more vinegar tang. My wife's wonton soup was heavenly with savory dumplings in a rich broth. We shared the mu shu pork for dinner. Wow! A generous portion, full of perfectly crisp/tender veggies and savory roast pork. Very satisfying, and very good. We each had two "burritos" rolled up with an excellent hoisin and sesame oil sauce, with enough filling left over to bring home for breakfast scrambles. We are very much looking forward to our next visit, and hoping there's a secret menu with classic Sichuan dishes!“
