This place is a hidden gem in Pleasant Grove. 15-20 minutes from Birmingham and with the drive. The owner is so friendly and welcoming. The food is very fresh and delicious, you can tell there's a lot of love put into it. There are American choices for the less adventurous eaters and children's menu, also vegetarian options! My personal favorites are the falafel plate, Greek salad, tahini sauce, hummus and baklava. All homemade! Go try it, you won't be disappointed!
I honestly don’t even know how to put into words how good Olipita is, but I’m going to try because this place deserves a NOVEL written about it.
This isn’t just a restaurant — this is a one-man masterpiece. The owner runs the entire place by himself and somehow manages to deliver food that tastes like a whole team of grandmas, chefs, and flavor wizards are working in the kitchen.
