This is the Burger Man on his Fishing Tour in search of the Best Fish Samich for the month of August. I was invited to Katy's to try their fish samich, and was very surprised by how good their fish samich was. A fried Catfish Samich with homemade Tartar Sauce on a toasted bun. Got to go to Rainsville, AL, and enjoy a Catfish Samich. I definitely recommend this restaurant for great food, and the best customer service. They treat you like family.
Good quality food with great service. Prices are cheaper than fast food. The grilled chicken finger dinner is our favorite.

The staff is super friendly, and the owner once pulled up a seat and talked to customers like family. A standout item is the chicken sauce, a unique sauce so good that one person paid to have a gallon shipped across the country. The food speaks for itself. The fried catfish is excellent, and the hushpuppies and coleslaw could be a meal by themselves. There is a good variety of catfish options, including tenders, whole filet, or whole bone-in fish, plus other seafood, chicken, and burgers. The sweet tea is also good. Some reviews note that the building itself is a little old and the front porch was dirty, but the fantastic food makes it worth it. Customers leave stuffed and happy. However, the restaurant does not take checks, which caused disappointment for one person on a Friday evening. Despite this, it is highly recommended for anyone who likes fried catfish.
