“Wow! Wow! Wow! We were down from Birmingham visiting my grandfather in Gulf Shores and he recommended we go out for dinner one night. We had made reservations but two people canceled last minute. The staff didn’t make a big deal of it and gave us the same table as soon as we walked in. Our service was so accommodating and they had water and bread chips already set up on the table for us to be seated. The bread chips were delicious. Going to Ivey’s you don’t have to settle on the food to get good service, here they have both. At our table we ordered the seafood crepes, the shrimp and grit cakes, the catfish with a shrimp and crab sauce, and the shrimp diane. All came with a house salad with your choice of dressing. Their homemade dressings are ranch, 1000 island, and blue cheese, which were all wonderful! I tasted every entree we ordered except the shrimp Diane and you cannot go wrong with any of the other three. The dish that really stood out to all of us was the shrimp and grit cakes, which our server informed us they had won an award for recently. This restaurant really is the whole package: adorable location, classy ambiance, amazing service, generous portions, extensive wine menu, and affordable pricing. Don’t skip this place even if you’re just driving through to the beach!“

“I've gone to this place for more than five years off and on and aside from one bad experience with the food this place has been on point. Great staff, and overall a great place to eat by yourself or with friends. I would recommend this place to anyone who hasn't eaten hereor for those who wanna try it for the first time.“

“Relaxed atmosphere with spectacular service and great menu options. We had the winter menu which had a variety of proteins. Food was fresh and delicious. They do offer reservations through the website.Vegetarian options: In addition to vegetarian options on the menu, there was a vegetarian special that evening.Parking: If there are no options in the lot, utilize street parking.“

“Our first experience with California Dreaming was absolutely incredible. The food was AMAZING and the service was equally as amazing. I was impressed when one of the Co-operators, Michelle, came around to be sure our meal and service was good. “Food was good and hot! Waitress was wonderful, checked on us multiple times. No lines, plenty of parking spaces. I would recommend that you watch your step especially (when it's been raining) there tile floor is slippery. Other than that it was a pleasant dining experience.“

“Very clean. My order was taken and quickly prepared. I got the grilled chicken salad. Two dressings weren't enough for me so I asked for two more and they were given (I was prepared to pay but didn't have to). The young lady who took my order smiled the entire time. Excellent service in every way. I most definitely will return again.“
