“This place isn't quite ADA compliant. While I love eating here, I did run across an issue. My father is in a wheelchair after a leg amputation. We were eating there and he had to use the restroom. Dad was using a manual wheelchair, and he found he can't get it into the restroom. The short hall is to narrow and he was unable to make the turn into the restroom. I emailed the owner but have not heard back. I even messaged his FB page. It's Bern a couple of weeks now and no response.“

“I was seated at the bar with immediate service! The bartender was Ricky but not to mention Jocelyn, Ron and others for my amazing dining experience! I started with the crab cake as an appetizer and for my entree I had the fish of the day with shrimp served over a wedge salad! “Drive from Bay Springs MS to Mobile for supper last night. Found the restaurant through an internet sesrch, with no prior knowledge. Walked in, was seated immediately. The waitress was very pleasant and took our order and brought our drinks immediately. Bread and salad was out quickly, when that was finished, the main course was there. All very efficient and quick. The wife got a ribeye, medium well, it was grilled to perfection with a good smoky flavor I had fried shrimp, onion rings and sweet potato casserole. They came with cocktail, tartar and comeback sauces. Shrimp were fried to perfection and I think this may have been the best onion rings I’ve ever had. Generous portions. And when we got our bill, it did not break the bsnk. Very reasonable. Would not hesitate to go back or to recommend this place to anyone. Great experience.“

“I don’t think it’s possible to heap enough praise on this place. From the very moment we sat down my wife and I were impressed. The service was amazing, the food was even better. I ordered the Parmesan Tilapia de Napoli with a Caesar salad and my wife ordered the chicken parm. It was the best Italian food I had ever tasted. There’s no way service and food this good presented with this much care and this fresh should be this affordable. “I usually stop by Foosackly’s in Semmes on Fridays after a sport event, football, baseball, basketball and enjoy a salad and some tenders with my wife. Last Friday, after getting home, I found that the tenders were a little over cooked resulting in a rock hard batter which was uncomfortable to bite or chew. My wife called and spoke to Ethan the manager and he quickly offered a gift card equal to our charge so that we can get our Friday night game Foo on our next visit. After a mixup with the email, Ethan was true to his word and sent the card directly to our email. Ethan was absolutely wonderful to my wife and did everything that a business should do to keep customers coming back. Thank you Ethan…. We’ll see you Friday night.“

Our server, Maliga and the manager were so gracious and the most attentive and efficient service we have experienced anywhere in Mobile. The quality of beef in my ala carte order was like a homecooked pot roast...no fat ..no mystery. The tamales are wonderful and have a special sauce. The ground beef in the tacos is the finest quality and seasoned wonderfully. The margarita had only 2 percent alcohol in it, and the glasses for that drink are the wrong kind. But the most important is the impeccable food and service. I could enjoy their "refried" beans because they start with beans and do not add lard to it! The entrance to the restaurant on Schillinger is hard to find at first, but inside is wonderful and authentic The very best Mexican restaurant this side of San Antonio, and they are family-owned.“

“got the pulled pork sandwich. meat had ZERO flavor and was as dry as boomer humor. the seasoning sauce was water scared with garlic powder. potato salad was disrespectfully disgusting. banana pudding was watery and the bananas were black. green beans were dumped from a can and had less seasoning than printer paper. Mac and cheese was essentially just pasta in a cheese water sauce and the atrocity of what they dare to call sweet tea was an insult to all southerners. get a better staff too. they carried a conversation and it was quite clear they wanted to keep talking when I was approaching. the lady at the pickup register talked over me and was obviously annoyed to be at work.“

“Had the special pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw and what not on it and it was really good. The pulled pork was a little dry but the coleslaw and sauce overshadowed that.

Fries had really good flavor and perfect consistency.

The banana pudding was great. You can tell it's made fresh probably daily, I assume, because the cookies still had a little crunch to them.

“I've been eating at this restaurant since it opened, and even before that as a kid when they had the original location on Government. I love this place, and in spite of me not living in Mobile anymore, I make it a point to stop and eat here every time I'm in town visiting family.“
