“I only recommend Mugshots because of past experiences. My family and I went last night with friends and it was by far some of the worst service I’d had to date. Upon entering, the host greeted us but asked a female server under the stair case if she wanted 6, but they had kids (hello, standing in front of you!) the girl scowled and said no. We were seated pretty promptly but waited several minutes for anyone to approach us. A server finally showed up and apologized for the wait, which I understood as he had another table. We got our drinks a few minutes later and we were ready to order, but before we could say anything he quickly walked off. We then had to wait at least another 6 minutes before he showed again. Let me just say, when you have kids you’re trying to keep calm that feels like an eternity. After taking our orders it took about 40 minutes for our food to come out, and it was cold. What made it even worse was that immediately after delivering our food he asked us how we wanted our checks. We were so hungry after waiting and didn’t want to upset the kids, so we told the server about the cold food and asked for hot fries at least. He honestly seemed a little put out and like it was an inconvenience for him, but he quickly brought us out a bowl of hot fries. My friends son had one pickle when she asked for extra, which I would say if the server did his job, then it was a small kitchen mistake. He brought out a small container of extra pickle slices very quickly after he was told. But he should have asked us if everything was cooked to our liking so we didn’t need to send him on several goose chases. One in our party asked for a refill and attempted to hand him his empty one, and the server looked at it like he had no idea what was expected of him. We kept wondering where he was because there weren’t many tables there with us toward the end, and when we left we saw everyone huddled under the stairs hanging out. It’s not a fine dining establishment in town, but it is a small family one that locals love. Tyler D needs more service training, please. Also, this is coming from a fellow hospitality worker within Tuscaloosa. Highly disappointed.“
