Hands down the best bbq. The owner is super nice & very friendly every time we go to eat. The place is always super clean & I love the little touches they put on the to go boxes. It's great to see how much they appreciate our business. I wish more places were like that.
Why is the health department still allowing them to be open the food taste old like it was left from a 1 week old catering job every thing was luke warm or cold. They have electric wire just hanging down the roof leaking while I was there I said something about need to fix it and pretty much got chewed out saying they pay $ 350 in rent to the town for the building that he wasn’t fixing anything. So my thought is if the town owns the building why don’t they tear it down and make it a parking lot for xtra parking maybe I’ll stop by the town hall when I leave here today and tell them about my experience here. Bulldoze it down put up a parking lot

The food is excellent and so is the pricing! Would definitely come back here if passing through. Really enjoyed the ribs and turnip greens.
A very simple, very delicious BBQ spot. I had the pulled pork sandwich and a side of potatoe salad. The sandwich was excellent! My only complaint is I should of gotten the big size sandwich. The small one was too small and had to order another. That's definitely my fault on that one...Overall a great place! Great service and excellent price!

This little place is in a cool little town called Valley Head Alabama. I visited on the way through coming from Georgia. I love going to places that are new to me and off the beaten path. The atmosphere in this place reminds me of the small town I grew up in. Most people seemed to know each other and were really friendly and accommodating. The bbq was wonderful, and the staff was very friendly. If you ever get a chance to stop and get a meal here, you are in for a treat. I had the pulled pork sandwich and fries. Their bbq sauce that came with the sandwich was spot on. You will not be disappointed if you eat here.

FINALLY!! Passed this place a while back (closed) and didn’t realize it was in operation. Then 3 and 1/2 weeks ago, I googled Valley Head restaurants and have been trying to get there to try the ribs ever since. We seem to have caught all the closed Saturdays lol, but since hubby was off on a Thursday, we went for lunch today.The picture doesn’t do justice, those ribs are FINE! Delicious, fall off the bone (literally) juicy, and none of that overly smokey flavor. Perfect! And the pulled pork was the best we have had anywhere in quite a while. Very cute place with friendly staff.My husband didn’t want me to brag on them too much because since moving to the area, we keep having these great first meals and not so great follow-ups (at other restaurants). He doesn’t want me to jinx it on this spot. We will definitely be back to try the bbq nachos! (And more ribs!!)

My husband and I were visiting this area from Florida. The last day we were there it was pouring down rain and we didn't know where to go for lunch. We passed this cute bbq place and decided to give it a try. This place deserves 5 stars. From being greeted outside to the level of service we received at the counter this place is great. The food was exceptional. Very happy with our visit to this restaurant! When we visit again this will be our go to place for lunch :) Thanks to the Rib Shak team for making our visit pleasant. 5 Stars all the way :)
