Chuck's Bar-B-Q Reviews
Ribs were excellent
Affordable and well prepared food.
I can say for a small family operated restaurant, it's great not excellent. Great prices, excellent staff and a hometown atmosphere. The ribs were excellent, chicken has no flavor. Brunswick stew was alittle to soupy. Potato salad was mush, coleslaw slaw was FINELY chopped. Baked beans tasted like they came straight out of the Van Camps can. Chopped pork was not chopped, it was minced. Alittle to finely CHOPPED for me. My wife loved the sweet potato pie.

Chuck's Bar-B-Q is a local joint that specializes in delicious barbecue. The restaurant has received a mix of opinions, with some customers praising the food while others express disappointment.
The ribs have been described as "falling off the bones" by one reviewer, while another noted they were just "okay." The chopped pork is perfect for making sliders, and the coleslaw has been highlighted as some of the best ever tasted. Some customers have found the fries to be "soggy and undercooked," but others have praised the chicken, ribs, and chopped barbecue as "cooked perfectly."
The key lime cake was mentioned as a disappointment, being called the "driest piece of cake" with no key lime flavor. However, the restaurant's other desserts, such as the red velvet cake, strawberry cake, chocolate pie, and lemon pound cake, received praise for being "delicious." Recent visitors have also enjoyed the coconut pie and pecan pie, which were baked just right.
One reviewer from the Memphis area found the food just "okay" and a little "pricey," while another customer raved about the "GREAT bar-b-q" and the wonderful smell of the barbecue that can be detected from the Walmart parking lot. The BBQ sandwich was described as decent, typical for the area, with a tangy vinegar/mustard sauce, and the price was considered very reasonable.
Chuck's Bar-B-Q is known for its friendly staff, though some customers feel that the person taking orders can seem agitated. The efficient service has been praised, especially by those stopping in from road trips. The menu includes barbecue sandwiches, Brunswick stew, and a highly acclaimed homemade potato salad that one customer called their "absolute favorite."
Overall, Chuck's Bar-B-Q presents a mixed experience, with some customers thoroughly enjoying the food and others feeling let down. For those who love classic barbecue, it may be worth a visit to try the ribs, chicken, and other signature dishes.
