“I have not been to On Tap Sports Cafe since they closed the Hoover location. I decided to try On Tap at Liberty Park but found the drive after taking exit 23 off I-459 is tedious due to all the stop signs going through the business district. Once you finally get there, it is great.  A real nice outside patio area which looked very inviting. Inside there is plenty of seating and TV’s for sports watching and a large bar. I think there is another bar on the other side of the restaurant. This is definitely larger than Hoover was. Our waitress Abigaille was excellent. I did not have to wait long for my next beer to arrive. Of course, I had to keep picking beers that they were out of, but there was still plenty more to choose from. Our food came out quickly and was very good. The sliders were cooked to perfection, and the fries were excellent. The pretzel bites were good. I plan on trying the US-280 location next to determine which restaurant is better. There is only a 2 minute, 3 mile difference between the 280 location versus Liberty Park from Hoover. I thought the destination time would be longer due to the traffic on US-280, but I am going to find out.“

“We had a pretty good experience at Surf House.

We had the buffalo wings as an appetizer. They were good, but not great. I had the 'spicy' burger, and am still not sure what made it spicier than the other burger on the menu. It was a good burger, but not great. Another person in our party got the turkey burger, and they proclaimed it terrific. Finally, the last person got the regular burger, which, like me, they said was good but not great.

Pretty much everything, from the food to the service to the atmosphere was a solid 7-8 out of 10. We will undoubtedly go back to Surf Hound, but likely won't be rushing back...it is just far enough away. With that said, it should be a hit in the nearby community, and will likely make a dent in CharBar's business.“

“We love Marty’s GM SO much! We moved away from the area years ago but still try to plan our trips to Birmingham around a trip to Marty’s! We always get the Chicken Bacon Ranch Egg Rolls, Goat Popper Burger, and French Fries. And then depending on what they have in the frozen machine, a frozen margarita or a bushwacker. Everything is always perfectly cooked and delicious! Honestly , it’s wild how consistent the food has been over the years. Absolutely fantastic every time we go.“

“Went to 2 different locations before visiting Prive/Palace. You get entry to the restaurant for free and the club in back for $10. Security will check you before entering and parking spaces were nice.

The bartender was very nice and the people eating were also very nice. We ate wings, fries, catfish nuggets and had some drinks in between visits to the back club“

“Had dinner here last night for the first time with my hubby and we loved it! Andy took great care of us even though he had a full bar and we were sitting at a table. The food was fantastic. I had the sea bass, which had a delightful crispy sear but was not at all overcooked. Also a great price for sea bass! My husband got the burger and loved it. He doesn’t get excited about food like I do, but said “mmm, this is a really good burger” at least 4 times while eating it. If you know him like I do, you know he was impressed. Lol. We also enjoyed a very nice Loire Valley Sauvignon Blanc, which I was thrilled to see by the glass. The GM came over and talked to us for a while also, allowing me to rave to him about how much we enjoyed everything. A great experience, and a great value. We will DEFINITELY be back!!“

“WOW!!!! I can't believe how many years this has been open. I waitress here in 1996. Found out that I was pregnant with my daughter and couldn't work much longer. I loved this place. I worked as a graphic designer during the day and a waitress at night.“

“bartenders are great. food is great. they have karaoke on Wednesdays and maybe other nights as well I'm not sure. they stay open till 2:00 a.m. which is great if you want to go somewhere after work. it's very laid back environment. they have a couple of pool tables and darts and multiple restrooms which is great for a bar instead of a line.“

“I give a five star rating only because of the friends and memories of singing kareoke with Kareoke Joe(Who I miss talking too there). If you want to have a better time without having to worry about nonsense, go to Blues and Brews right next door. Much better atmosphere.

That being said, it has been over 3 years since the absolute false rumors were started about me by who knows? Last time I was in Pub 261, was having a great time with friends I haven't seen in awhile, this was THREE YEARS AGO, rooting them on kareoke and they were doing the same for me. I paid my tab when I was leaving, said bye to everyone and Joe Kareoke as usual who I've known for 20 years.

I came back several days later and was stopped at the door and told that im banned. This was Three years ago and I've tried, in a very civil manner, to reach out as to why and have only been told im lifetime ban(friends of mine have told me and shown me of the HORRIBLY FALSE RUMORS about me as to why). I was a patron for many years. I didn't start a scene there, never been one of these people that was arrested there or anything. It's one thing to suspend someone, even over a false rumor, till the nonsense dies down. It's another to permanently ban someone UNJUSTLY. I know many reading this know who I am and maybe have even participated in the false rumoring. It's really character defamation as well and all I want is to come back and sing kareoke and mind my own business. Beware, I suppose, because youll just be banned for no reason if they are in a bad mood.“

“When I go to Topgolf, I typically have a great time but last night I was disgusted me and two friends went there to eat and have a good time we went into the restaurant. We waited an hour before anyone even spoke to us then when we stopped a few of the workers one guy with dreads that was working the bar with a red shirt on, he was rude. When I asked did he work there and when I asked him to get us a server he ignored me after several attempts to get an employee to come, Services us savanna a server came to the table after 45 minutes of trying her best to ignore us and several other customers and asked the drink orders but at this point we’re ordering food as well long story short we spent we came in at 9 didn’t leave the restaurant part until 1130 and missed our spot at the golf course. When we asked for the check that took 45 minutes even though it was almost empty in the place. It seem like no manager cared or just wasn’t present the place was being ran by kids and it was horrible.“

“The food was good and the server was very attentive. Our only concern was the attention to detail. I asked for my burger with No lettuce or tomatoes and it came out exactly as listed on the menu. My wife asked for the buffalo wings and she got barbecue. This is one of the most frustrating things to happen at a restaurant.“
