“Greeted with a pleasant greeting and smiles. With six of us they gave us a small private room which was perfect. The food was excellent. We had a meatball sub, minestrone soup, and several other dishes which were enjoyed. The service was very good.”

“Had a fun time at gear garden Sunday with two of our friends. There was only three options for food however, but each food vendor had good food. Just seemed a little limited in that category.
Had a jazz trio playing that did rather well. It was beautiful weather and a nice time to sit down with friends in a nice atmosphere with kids playing dogs being petted and people talking.

Vegetarian options: Veggie burgers were available from a vendor called THE DUTCH OVEN.

Parking: Open and available Friday, Saturday and Sunday. With jazz on Sundays.

Kid-friendliness: Absolutely. They can play in the creek

“This place is awesome! If you're looking for some drinks at the 19th hole, or looking to get some good food, Highlands Pub has your back! They have free pool tables, shuffle board, and an amazing patio to enjoy the sunshine/sunset. My guess is the people rating this place low were probably the problem. Come enjoy this place!”

“Holy moley. We read the reviews and had to try it. So happy I did. We are on vacation from Illinois and this place makes us want to move across the street so we could eat here everyday. The biscuits are giant, homemade, and Delicious. The homemade sausage gravy was Amaaazing! Breakfast ham almost made my husbands eyes water it was so good. My puppy was even taken care of with a fresh bowl of water on the patio. The staff was friendly and very attentive but not overly. We just love this place and will come back next time we visit for sure.”

“I was told of The Fire Truck by one of my students at the high school. My wife and I wanted to try somewhere we had never been before and came here. I ordered the Hot Chicken Sando and have to say it ranks up there with the top chicken sandwiches I have ever had (for me could have used a little more spice, but my wife just smelled it saying "to spicy for me"). My wife had the Big Beef Sammy (minus cheese). We both liked it very much. Yes, it is a different play on the Reuben and worked well together. I also liked the breakfast potatoes. A perfect mix of O'Brien potatoes and fries. Bite size pieces of just the right amount of crispiness taters. Leave them plain or with condiments, either way they are delish. I am positive this was not a one and done visit, we will be back.”

“Great food for the price! I'm usually suspicious of a $12 sandwich and chips, thinking I'll get Kraft singles on white bread and a small bag of chips. MELD pita bread is substantial and delicious, and filled with meat and toppings. The kettle chips are crunchy, not greasy or too salty. Highly recommend!”

“We’ve known about this place for almost 2 years now and love it. I’m about 9 months pregnant, and thanks to the unlucky location of my OB office, gooseberry pies is on our way home and I’ve had a hard time saying no when we pass by. We’ve tried almost all of their mini sweet pies and have never been disappointed. Tonight was the first night we tried a take and bake pie. The tomato pie was something dreams are made of. The fact they use Dukes mayo (the only option in my southern opinion) sold me instantly. The cooking instructions were perfect. The only downside was waiting a full 15 minutes for the tomatoes to cool long enough to not scald my mouth. My sister who has never had tomato pie before was VERY skeptical, had 2 servings. The customer service has always been incredible and we will continue to make gooseberry pies apart of our lives.”

This airship is like a little hidden gem, located a short walk from the square and serving up coffee that is high quality and delicious. Oh! And those scones. So good.”
