Mexican Restaurants near Brookland

“I have never had a nachos platter prepared with such attention to quality and presentation. I joked that it was almost to good looking to eat...Sorry but Im also not one to take photos of my food.

I'll relay to staff my ultimate satisfaction and post positive reciews.

Tried this place as another nearby Mexican food restuarant. They unfortunately did not serve Mojara, deep fried whole talapia, but we also chose the shrimp fajiatas platter and that was equally impressive.
The shrimp were very moist, not tough like many who overcook the vegis...The vegis were all precisely cut in proper thin strips as was the chicken and beef on the nachos. Everything was well seasoned with great flavor.

We will definately make the short drive out of town many more times to enjoy the food, atmosphere and customer service.
Having just completed a full house lunch rush, staff managed amazingly handling the register, clean up as well as super quick amd attentive service to out lone tables needs.

I asked, but unfortunately managerment/owner was not present to accept my ackolades. This is the kind of business that flourishes in small town locations.

Added note: They serve wine, beer and I believe mixed drinks. A very good choice if you seek a quality Mexican meal.“

“This is absolutely the most authentic Mexican restaurant in Jonesboro. It is right out of the barrio just west of ASU. Non-pretencious, 100% Abuelitas cooking here. I like the sopes la lingua and the Pizole, which is served traditionally. They are so traditional, and true to their region that they mostly don't have chips and tomato-based salsa, but they will give you fried tortilla's and two amazing salsas, one is avocado based, and the other is very hot chile based on Chile de Arbol (aka Seco) I think? Fabulous working class place, wonderful. Helps if you speak Spanish, but not necessary. It is closed on Tuesdays. . .“

“If you haven’t been, I would recommend trying this place out. I had a lunch special with shredded beef tacos that were delicious. The plate was well put together with pickled onions, cilantro and a guacamole salad. Jonesboro needs more unique places like this versus the traditional Mexican food.“

“We had an excellent experience at Papitos! The food was fresh, flavorful, and came out quickly. Everything we ordered was delicious, and the portions were generous. The restaurant was clean, had a great atmosphere, and the staff was friendly.
