“We were passing through on June 29 after along trip. Hungry but fussy I trusted the owner with his suggestion of chicken topped with asparagus, fresh veggies and rice. Don’t miss out the food and management were amazing. I’d give it a 10 out of stars.”

Gently heated it up for dinner last night. OMG - incredibly tender and delicious. Nice sauce too, though not really needed. Best of the three yesterday and top three of all I’ve visited so far (at least 20). Wife wants to go back and so do I.”

“Stopped here for lunch while traveling from Florida to Oklahoma, got a variety of different food for 7 people it was all amazing, we enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and meeting the owner, will definitely try to hit this place up again next time we are passing through.”

“MIGHTY BOOSH FANS: They have a Flirtini ON THE BAR MENU ? Service was friendly and prompt. We went on a special chef night and had a lovely meal. Decor is cute. Went on a regular night and had a nice meal. Nice to be able to get a fancy plate without going to the city.”

“Nice little shop off the beaten path. You wouldn't know it was there until you turned into the parking lot. the store was very clean. i noticed how every time they made a sandwich. They would clean off the board that they made it on, which was impressive. A sandwich was recommended which I tried and it was very good. i would eat here again.”

“On September 23 and 24, 2022, we decided to spend a week in the southern states of Arkansas and Mississippi. On the 23rd we had lunch and on the 24th we had breakfast, but in addition to some tasty meals, we met some waitresses who became our friends, their familiar treatment overwhelmed us, their human quality was incomparable, we returned to Michigan with an unforgettable memory of them . Thank you Crystal, Vakita and Mary, you make ole sawmill cafe the most special place we have visited.”

“While my family and I were stopping to fill up on gas, we stumbled upon a hidden gem. The chicken was some of the best I've had in a long time—crispy, hot, and incredibly juicy. The biscuits and apple pie were perfection. Beyond the fantastic food, the customer service was exceptional. The staff was attentive, answered all our questions promptly, and never made us feel rushed—something rare to find at a gas station.

Parking: There are several parking spots around the gas station that are not in the way of the semi trucks.

Kid-friendliness: They have a couple different options that are kid friendly. Macaroni and cheese, chicken strips, potatoe wedges to name a few.

Wheelchair accessibility: They have handicap parking with wheel chair access.”

“This place has the best workers and the freshest food. I was surprised yesterday when I only received one spoon for two sides and one bbq sauce for two orders of chicken tender combos. The new apple cranberry drink was tasty but it was warm with very little ice. I will be back because the one bad mishap doesn’t weigh that much on the other four times that were excellent service and great food!”
