This is our second trip. Absolutely amazing! Highly recommend!
delicious food, fantastic attentive service!! Such a wonderful cozy little spot!
It’s quaint but good food for El dorado, AR. Probably one of the best places to eat in the area. Steaks were cooked perfect. My blackened catfish was amazing. Full bar but no bar seating. They did say something about a balcony or a basement.

The Black Cat Cafe offers a casual dining experience that has received a mixed reception. The atmosphere is generally pleasant, and the service is praised as great. However, some reviewers have pointed out issues with seating and noise levels, along with certain character flaws in the old historic building. The restrooms are not obviously handicapped accessible, as they require navigating a small spiral staircase to reach the second-floor facilities. Despite these concerns, the food is highly regarded as fresh and delicious. Items like the burger, mushroom swiss, and the beef fajita chimi have received high praise for their perfect seasoning and cooking. The fajita taco salad and guacamole are also noted as amazing. The menu features a variety of great choices, and the overall experience is described as magical, making it a recommendable option for lunch. The Black Cat Cafe also has easy parking and a downstairs bar that operates on weekend nights, although it serves pre-packaged drinks. Recent visits have highlighted the quality of dishes like the Southwest Egg Rolls, shrimp Alfredo, ribeye steak, and Fried Catfish, showcasing the cafe's commitment to excellent food and service. It comes highly recommended for anyone in town.
