“Food and service were fantastic!! I had the delicious swordfish special. The breads were excellent and interesting. They would benefit from better drinking water filtration (so maybe only have wine?), and atmosphere is nothing special for the meal prices. It shares the same shabby-is-okay vibe of the other Dickson Street restaurants and bars. The restrooms, however, are much, much nicer!“

“What a surprise!!! Great food. Wonderful service!! Wife had the fish tacos and said it was the best she’s ever had. Background music is at just the right volume. I would definitely come back!! Parking is a challenge. If the lot behind the restaurant is full you’ll need to find the overflow parking. As you pass the place on the side you’ll see a bunch of signs that boldly say NO FEED AND FOLLY PARKING!! When you get to the bottom of the hill turn left and you’ll find the extra parking. They do need to do some lot repairs here. It’s in pretty bad shape.“

I was in the mood for a basic egg, potato, and cheese burrito but this burrito satisfied that and more. The environment was inviting and relaxed. “We had brunch today at Mockingbird Kitchen. Everything was wonderful. There was no wait time and we arrived at 11:00. The place was full but we got right in. I had the eggs Benedict with a side of cheese grits. My boyfriend had the chicken and waffles with a side of cheese grits. We both agreed they were the best cheese grits we had ever eaten. Everything we ate was superb. The waiter was very attentive. We will definitely be back.“

“Popped in for lunch with the family. Ordered the Where the Wild Things Are grilled cheese sandwich with gluten free bread. To be able to say the gluten free bread was delicious is already a win! The sandwich was amazing. Our server was very friendly and polite. It was a busy lunch time but our food came out promptly and all the substitutions we asked for were correct.

This is not one of those loud mediocre restaurants though, perfect for a romantic dinner. The service was good and the food was delicious, very well portioned! We had a large party for my birthday and did not have any issues, we will recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a nice evening out.“

“I tried this place for the first time tonight. I am in-love with it. I can’t wait to eat here again. A tad far from home but worth a fun short road trip. MICHAEL went above and beyond in his customer service talents. The food is delicious but his service really made it a 5-star experience. The queso has a homemade flavor and the jalapeño relish is spot-on with the right consistency and hotness and sweet note. “We went to Tula for an end of the year dinner for the first time and really enjoyed our meal. My husband said it was the closet to taste of the mole he had in Chihuahua Mexico. Next time you want some mole go to Tula.

“I have been going here since they opened. I recently moved a bit away and then back closer so I hit them up for the first time in about a year. Absolutely loved it. They have more things on the menu and even offer a vegan burger now. The staff is always incredibly kind. If you’re looking for a solid brunch spot that also can hold it down for dinner this is for you. One of my favorite little gems in Fayetteville. Also a great spot to stop in if you’re walking or jogging or biking the greenway!“

“I ordered this for myself and a friend of mine late one Friday night. We ordered the steak, chicken and shrimp hibachi with fried rice, noodles, and veggies. I was relieved when they asked how we wanted the steak cooked. My friend has a 7 week old baby so we didn't want to go eat anywhere but wanted something good so I went and picked this up. It was really good! There were definitely not enough veggies in it (we are veggie girls) but the two of us splitting the one entree was MORE than enough food and we didn't come close to eating it all! The noodles were good, the steak and shrimp were good, the chicken had some sort of teriyaki sauce and it was good too! Didn't get any sushi, but would definitely consider it. The atmosphere was lacking for sure, I believe the location is in the old unemployment office on MLK and they didn't invest much in fixing the place up. I was surprised when I walked in on a Friday night there were no customers in the restaurant eating but there were several DD orders ready to be picked up. They are definitely fast! I didn't have to wait but a minute for my order and I could immediately tell it was a lot of food by the weight of the bag. It did spill out of the box into the bag, but that wasn't any big deal. We could have split it with even one more friend, that is how much we had left over, but all in all I'd try it again!“

“JJ’s Live is the absolute BEST venue for entertainment in Fayetteville for a few reasons. A) Top notch customer service- Caitlyn and Zoe are genuinely amazing in ensuring fans are happy and satisfied. B))The building is open and spacious and has a RAD vibe to it- you can see the artist(s) no matter where you sit/stand- you don’t have to view them from a giant screen. C) The venue has an intimate feel to it- you almost feel up close and personal to artists because though it’s a spacious building, there’s not thousands of people to wade through. D) They do a great job bringing in music entertainment and they have now began bringing in comedic entertainment! E) It’s in our back yard! Love the location! F) The outside area is nice because you can sit and relax outside and visit with folks and have a beverage or a smoke comfortably- before the show starts or during the show if you need to step out for a bit. I could honestly carry on through the alphabet if I wanted, but these are the top reasons I will continue to choose JJ’s Live for entertainment over other close by venues.“
