Atmosphere was good, service was friendly. But if I'm being 100% honest it was the worst BBQ we've ever had. The ribs and the chopped beef were so, so dry and had zero flavor. The potato salad tasted like it came straight from a store. Again, the service was great, but the food is severely lacking flavor. Bathrooms are also located on the outside of the building which is inconvenient.

We got the sampler platter, pork plate & 1/2 a tamale (which is frito pie). A miss on all. Meat was super dry, no smoke flavor, and the we’ve had better frito pie at a kids sporting event. Best part was our sweet server. She was great.

I am sure there are good items on the menu but I had a chopped pork sandwich, cole slaw and baked beans. The chopped pork came with sauce already on it. If it needs sauce the pork is not good. The worst slaw I ever had. It was dry and mealy. The beans might be what Texans like. Pintos with tons of chili powder.

Best BBQ in town! I have been going to McClards since my childhood and absolutely love this place! I’ve got to say that the tamales are out of this world good and the full spread is HUGE! Wonderful place to grab a bite and the staff is excellent too! Go give them a try!

I've ate at McClards for approx. 50 yrs. I gave them awhile to get it together after the family sold out. It did change though. Not once what it was definitely. I still supported them out of loyalty. But the food is a disapointment too much of the time now. I just don't understand why they did not keep everything like it was. The kitchen crew are most definitely not doing their job like the old crew. That is very sad. If it closes I won't miss it much I hate to say. But I will always miss the way the Mcclards was when family owned it. I'm now going to throw my half spread away after eating less than half of it.

A full 5-stars!! The food was great. The service was great. Hands down the best slaw I’ve ever eaten. The fries are hand cut and cooked perfectly. The brisket is not traditional Texas style, but slow cooked to perfection, juicy and tender. My wife had the backed potato with pulled pork and she loved it. This is a historic multi generation family run business. You will not be disappointed. We will be back the next time we are in Hot Springs.
Classic, arguably best in Arkansas! Still great value $$

I couldn’t make it back through Hot Springs without hitting the cards. It’s a staple of good barbecue, and wonderful tamales. My wife says they’re the best tamales in the world and she has eaten them all over the world so there’s some authoritative note to that. Your sauce is wonderful, and, the waitresses that attend you are sweet in an old hometown type atmosphere. It hasn’t changed since the last time I was there years and years ago. It was still wonderful and be aware of the ribs are massive. I live in Memphis and I know ribs. When you get the ribbon Fry, even though it’s a single plate which is 45 ribs, that’s a shareable plate. don’t forget about the tamales. Did I mention the tamales?
