“My husband and I arrived at Taco and Tamale Co in the Heights as we were scouting for places to eat and ended up sitting at the bar for amazing service. The restaurant was packed, yet we still received excellent service. We placed a to go order for our main course food and had cheese dip and chips during the wait. Very nice environment. Friendly people. The food was delicious. I had the 12 tamale meal. I will definately be back. I'm so glad we discovered this place.“

Every visit is a reminder of why this place is one of our all-time favorites. The white queso is consistently delicious—creamy, flavorful, and always hits the spot. Another standout is the chicken tortilla soup, which is absolutely amazing!
The lunch specials are a great value—affordable without sacrificing quality or portion size. You leave full and satisfied every time. The staff is friendly, attentive, and accommodating. Special shoutout to manager Bethany Hall, who clearly leads by example.
If you haven’t been yet, do yourself a favor—stop by On The Border. You’ll be glad you did!“

“Yesterday afternoon my husband and I came in and the hospitality was amazing!! First my husband tripped outside and the waitress and waiters were on it came to help immediately!! We had just left Carti and he was very weak from a treatment. The meal was awesome and the waiter we had was first class!! The next was getting back to the car and my husband was very weak, again here this guy came to help in anyway he could!! I thank all of y'all!! You never know what love and kindness means till you're in these shoes!! There are good people in this world!! We will be back!! Go try this wonderful restaurant!!“

“This family is awesome and their food is out of this world delicious. Everything on their menu mouth watering good. They are a little off the beaten path but easy to pull up and order your food . I eat here 3 to 4 times a week. Honestly the best taco truck I've eaten from. A 10 out of 10 for sure. They close at 7 pm and usually very busy at lunch time but they handle it efficiently and of the highest quality every time. I have never been disappointed.“

“After moving out of Little Rock years ago, we had a chance to come to LR so a stop at Palenque was a MUST. The chilaquiles Verdes Con Pollo are a family tradition for us and we did not disappoint. Remains the BEST all-round Mexican North of the border!“

“for me it was just right. freshly cooked perfectly to the "T" the host explained everything ie: charges for to go container and so on. I'm not sure I understand it correctly but I can always confirm when I order. I had the chicken fajita chimichanga. Friendly.“

“TACOS WERE EXCELLENT LIKE MEXICO WITH A SMALL TORTILLA. He opens at 5pm Friday & 3pm Sat, & Sun till 11pm or when he runs out of meat. He has a paper & pen that YOU write down your taco order. You can call in your order to eat to go or there, he has tables inside with A/C or you can eat outside. Also there is a restroom inside. He Has Soft drinks or freshly made Fruit water. 3 sauces Guacamole, Red, & a mix one with, Onion Cucumber Habanero cilantro. Payments Cash or Cash app. Parking on the side don't park in front of him. Excellent experience will return.THE TACOS WERE EXCELLENT LIKE MEXICO WITH A LITTLE TORTILLA. It opens at 5pm on Fridays and at 3pm on Saturdays and Sundays until 11pm. or when you run out of meat.
