“Just tried it today at the ASO Beethoven and Blue Jeans Block Party and it was fantastic. So juicy and flavorful. I got the shrimp boil and it was perfect. My mom, who is not a boil person, was willing to try and liked it too! As in made the comment "That's good, I might try it again next time." They were at an event Friday we attended and she had tried their nachos and they were fabulous too. We are definitely going to be keeping an eye for location postings.“

“I heard this place is legendary in Little Rock so I went and got why. They serve catfish and buffalo fish ribs that feel like crunchy treasures from Southern history. This diner has serious roots—civil rights leaders used to meet here, and it has that badge of honor from the James Beard people.

I had a plate of catfish hush puppies and coleslaw sat quietly and felt like I was part of something much bigger than fish and grease. Price was modest mood was deep food was memorable.“

“Overcooked my shrimp a bit. It doesn’t take much to fry shrimp, considering its delicate nature. Try frying it less vigorously and adding more seasoning to the shrimp batter to enhance its flavor.

Additionally, consider experimenting with different type of fries to attract new customers. Lastly, reintroduce grilling orders, as it was enjoyable to have grilled seafood. This experience makes me want to visit Sam’s Seafood Eatery or Oceans Fish and Chicken.“

“First time customer for Mr. Hui’s. I had ordered Beef Chow Fun from them the night before from the night before. I had explained I was going into Little Rock for work and I haven’t had beef Chow fun in over 5 years. It’s one of my favorite Asian dishes. I then ordered the Mongolian beef about 40 minutes before the pick up time for Mr. Hui’s. The dishes were delicious and made on time. We intend on going back Mr. Hui’s again when the chance arises.“

“Just ate dinner at the absolute best sushi/ hibachi place. Ninja sushi bar and grill in the west end of Little Rock. This is hands down the absolute best sushi in Little Rock area. Trey was also the absolute best waiter!“

“Their Moo Goo Gai Pan at the downtown location is so fresh and tasty that if parking wasn't the problem, it would be dangerous that it is only a 12 minute drive from my house. My granddaughter has dubbed their egg drop soup. the best she has ever eaten. Not only is the food great, but I like their happy hour for coctails too. And the staff is friendly and alert. It's a favorite!“

We don’t like coming into restaurants close to close however when we asked if they would be able to seat us without it putting them in a bind 30 minutes before close the cook and waiter/cashier were beyond accommodating and so kind! It was our family’s first time dining at an establishment like this and let me tell you my daughter LOVED every second of it. They were so attentive to us and we tried to be as clean and as quick as possible but they did not rush us by any means and they gave my kiddo the full experience and she just had a blast. She danced and “choo choo’d” her little behind off and ate up her Mac and cheese. I’d definitely recommend this spot to anyone!!“

“Tried Red Snapper for the first time and although they were out of whole snapper my husband and I got some catfish and shrimp and I just have to say everything was phenomenal! I had been craving fish in LR and other restaurants fish is never fresh enough. Always a weird texture or fishy after taste, this fish didn’t have any of that and the seasoning was on point! Young man at the window was polite and helpful, working on thanksgiving as well! S/o to him!“

So this time as last time I drove across to Captain D's food and service was Great.
Love Long John Silver's but I'll not be back.

“I recently visited a Captain D’s location I hadn’t been to before, and I have to say—it was an outstanding experience from start to finish.

The star of the visit was Shirley, who absolutely radiated kindness, love, and genuine hospitality. She spoke to me, other customers, and her coworkers with such warmth and welcoming energy that it truly elevated the entire atmosphere. It’s rare to encounter someone who makes you feel like family the moment you walk through the door, and Shirley did just that.

As for the food—it was perfectly good. The taste and quality were far beyond what I’ve come to expect from Captain D’s in recent years. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and served just right. This was, hands down, the best meal I’ve had from a Captain D’s in a long time.

Between Shirley’s incredible service and the top-tier food, this visit reminded me why dine-in experiences can be so special. I’ll definitely be returning—and I hope Shirley is there to greet me again.“

“Food is cooked fresh to order. They are fairly quick, service is great and the food is great. This is not a “sit down to eat” restaurant. You have the option to of course but If that’s what you’re looking for then go somewhere else. To get the full experience of the meal, take it to go, you can’t go wrong. Also, If I’m ordering fish I usually ask for extra seasoning and my fries cooked well/hard. The hush puppies are delicious, I usually order extra because you can’t have fish without them, in my opinion! lol
