“Growing up in Malvern, I have high standards for what real Southern catfish should taste like. Now that I live in Colorado, I’ve realized that finding good catfish near Denver is nearly impossible—nothing quite hits the mark. Coming home for Christmas this year, Fish Man's LLC was exactly what I needed. After a grueling 15-hour drive, having a meal this good was the ultimate reward. The fish was fresh, perfectly seasoned, and fried to that ideal golden crisp without being greasy. It’s easily some of the best I’ve had in years. It’s rare to find a place that justifies a 1,000-mile trip, but this is it. If you’re in the area (or even if you’re just passing through Arkansas), do yourself a favor and stop here. I’d make the drive all over again just for another plate!”

“Our waitress “Veronica” was top notch. She was extremely friendly and on top of things. As was all the waitresses. Cooks were constantly working. However “Kitchen Boss Amber” who stood back barking orders was very rude. I understand making sure the cooks knew what to make and the waitresses knew when their plates were up, but degrading the staff and humiliating them in front of customers is another story. I was very uncomfortable while eating and listening to her talk down to them. If you have a problem put them aside and discuss it. Be professional.”

“Food wasn't hot but omg at the service Mike gives at this location. He is a true gem and this location is lucky to have him. I would have given a 5 star if our fries and poppers and sandwich were hot and not more like room temp. However, Mike makes coming to this location a pure delight. He is so friendly and as cute as a button you just want to put him in your pocket. I love his energy and you can tell he loves his job. Arbys you are lucky to have Mike as part of your team.”

Stopping by Sam's Southern Eatery in Malvern was a winning decision.
The Catfish was the undisputed star of the show: flaky and moist on the inside, encased in a light, perfectly crispy cornmeal crust. Following close behind, the Shrimp were plump, juicy, and fried to a golden brown—absolutely top-tier seafood.
For the poultry section, the kitchen showed their Southern mastery. The Chicken Wings were succulent and beautifully seasoned, and the Gizzards were exactly how they should be: tender inside with that classic, savory crunch.
The sides rounded out the plate perfectly. The Fries were hot, crisp, and a great pairing for everything, and the accompanying slice of bread was ideal for soaking up any leftover flavor.
If you're looking for genuine, generous, and expertly-prepared fried Southern food in Malvern, Sam's Southern Eatery is the champion. They crushed this order!”
