The inside of the cake was moist and delicious, and the buttercream was decadent and sweet. “We are visiting from Ft. Worth, TX and I have two hungry teenage boys. i limited their options to just the breakfast sandwiches thinking it would be a Chick-fil-A a sandwich size. Boyyyyyyyyyy when we opened up our boxes there were these stacked chicken sandwiches. The boys raved about the bread and the taste of the chicken. Im so glad I stumbled on this small business.“

“After placing an order and having a lengthy discussion re character, colors, flavors, etc I was confident my daughter was going to have a simple, beautiful, fun birthday cake. Sadly I was unaware that Ryan's skill level at producing cakes and ability to follow simple instructions (i.e color) were so poor. It was specifically designated the cake be blue. It is pink and black. I sent my husband to pick up the cake and he was unaware upon looking at the cake that it was wrong as I placed the order and not him. The character on the cake looks nothing like the character it is based on. Even though the character is simple, it was entirely wrong. The face was not correct. The ears, the most defining feature were not correct. The character does not have hands but was created with strange hands and fingers. The work on the whole was less than kindergarten quality and I'm embarrassed to present it to my child tomorrow for her birthday. Ryan was unwilling to provide even a partial refund to make up for him making the cake the wrong color. Please don't order here. There are other reviews both here and on Yelp showing the poor quality of the work. Additionally you can see at least one sparky response from Ryan to poor reviews. I should have taken those reviews into stronger consideration before giving this person my money.“

“Best Bagel Shop! My friend raved about this place and brought me here. The plain bagels are sticky, aromatic, chewy, and absolutely delicious. The waitstaff were all very courteous and kept the inside very clean. The shop had two bar seats and three tables. You can even sit outside when the weather is nice. I’m a teacher and am guilty of stopping and making large, last minute orders for my class/students and never once have they made me feel like an inconvenience to accommodate a large, last minute order with variety AND kindness. I appreciate that and one of the main reasons I enjoy returning to their business. They offer basic coffee and refrigerated milk products to go along with your donuts. Most days, there is even a fresh fruit option on the counter!“

“I came here yesterday for coffee and breakfast but they had sold out of the food I was hungry for (biscuits and gravy) so I got my caramel macchiato and it was delicious! I came back today and Patricia remembered me and let me know they had biscuits and gravy! She promptly made me an order (everything was made to order) and surprised me by saying they were at no cost to me. “Excellent customer service !!! I ordered a heart cake for my 30th Birthday celebration over the weekend. Upon pick up it was perfect, however I was celebrating in Dallas and traveled with the cake by car. Once I arrived at my destination, my cake was completely ruined. I guess the buttercream had melted.

This was extremely disappointing, because I had been looking forward to having the cake at my birthday dinner. The next day I contacted the shop not really sure what I wanted, but mostly to just express my disappointment. After some conversation, I assume either the manager or the owner offered to make a new one for me that would be available for pickup on my actual birthday today on 2/10.

I provided pictures of the cake below, not only did it look amazing but it tasted great. I would highly recommend purchasing from this bakery. However, if you’re traveling especially if it’s a buttercream cake make sure to have some sort of cooler to avoid what happened to mine the first time. Thank you Blue Cakes“
