“I was in town visiting my best friend for spring break and stumbled across this little shop—what a gem! We don’t have places like this back home. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. Since it was my first time, I asked for a recommendation and Kristen suggested the White Chocolate Swirl protein smoothie. She added a drizzle of chocolate and some whipped cream, and let me tell you… I’m obsessed!!!

While I was there, I also had the chance to meet the owner, Alexia. She mentioned business has been a little slow since opening in July, and honestly, I think people may not realize this place is under new ownership. I even noticed the last review was from three years ago, so I felt like I had to step in and share something positive!

“Young waitress was short handed in the night but she was trying her best and I thought she did a great job. My surf and turf was very good cooked to medium rare perfection like I liked. “I’m here with my mother who is receiving care. The food in the cafe here was well cooked and great flavor. I had fried catfish, hush puppies, baked beans, and coleslaw. It was all terrific and very inexpensive ($5 for the whole plate). Really glad they take great care of their visitors and staff in this cafe. I saw lots of workers taking a well deserved break and great positive vibes which is important in a place of healing.“
