“When our order didn’t show up, the manager personally took care of our order. When it turned out that our order had actually arrived but to a place we hadn’t thought to look until after the driver updated (an hour after order should have been delivered) manager still exceeded our expectations. We just came back from a trip super sick and needing the nourishment. I can’t say enough about how delicious it was but even more importantly how it felt to be cared for and heard! We WILL be eating here more often! Thank you!“

“This restaurant has a nice feel on the top floor of a new hotel. Great view of the city. Not too loud. \n\nWe started at the bar as we arrived earlier than our reservation. The bartender made us great French 75 cocktails even though they were not on the menu. \n\nDinner was very good. We split a filet ($63) and added collards (excellent) and French fries (ok). The Caesar salad was excellent and big enough to share which we did. Good wine selection. \n\nThe wait staff was also bringing tables free food. We got mushrooms and meatballs. The table next to us received a large shrimp cocktail. Service was excellent. \n\nWe would return.“

That evening was my Brothers’ 30th wedding anniversary on November 11. My brother was nearing the end of a ten-month battle with aggressive brain cancer, and time felt incredibly precious. Because of River Grille steakhouse, that night was filled with peace, love, and celebration. My brother passed on Sunday, December 14. He had two goals, to be here for that anniversary and for my nephews college graduation. He accomplished both, and he passed the morning after my nephew graduated. “4 Stars, could be 5 if prices were maybe 5-10% less or if sides/aps cost a bit less per serving. Regardless, food is delicious, love the tamales and various appetizers. The salad leaves a lot to be wanted, but it is alright. Big fan of the biscuits too. The steaks are the award winners here. Definitely go here if you have $150ish if you want to treat yourself and someone else. The steaks are a bit pricey but it demands it because of the size of them. I think $90-120 for half a cow (1.5-3 inch steaks) is worth it.
Service is great and caring, love the people there.
The atmosphere reminds me of an old school yet contemporary sports bar and grill. You get the best of both worlds with it and, to be honest, it can remind you of home if you are from the Arkansas/Mississippi Delta.“
