“We found Basil and his family completely by accident while visiting from Tucson. We were looking for a wine-specific liquor store, but google said there were none. While leaving the parking lot from a different store, we saw Down Time while we were on our way out. (Retro's subs and brews is a solid sandwich shop with tons of meat on your sammy, btw) and decided to pop in. We were immediately charmed by the very clearly locally owned store-front, making the best use of the space that they can. We did an impromptu tasting of 6 wines, though they have a huge selection of over 40. Reds, whites, sweet dessert, dry and oaky, and they have been doing wine for 20+ years. Basil was an absolute treat of a man, and we walked away with a case+3. You won't regret a sweet date night here at Basil's Down Time Wines.“

“We stopped into Black Sheep for happy hour and it was such a good call. Great pricing on beer and a chill atmosphere to go with it. I tried their smoked old fashioned and it was smooth, balanced, and just the right amount of smoky. I finished with the affogato and it was the perfect sweet ending. Really solid spot in Chandler for drinks, good vibes, and a relaxed afternoon break with the husband. I’d definitely go back.“

“Overall it was great! Service was good, food was solid! Wife did the prime rib which did not disappoint and I did the filet which was perfect. We did oyster Rockefellers(Valentine's Day menu)which were delicious and the Brussels on the side which were also good, but very spicy so they didn't pair as well with the entrees. I can't say I'd order that one again. Glad we finally decided to try the place and will definitely be going back!“

“My mid meal text to my sis, a fellow foodie: Thith, I can describe this dish…Its like a deep savery tart rosemary dark cream sauced pasta w chicken , cooked oh so perfectly and mushrooms, i hate mushrooms but thus?! Oh gawd! I just winged it on the menu and pointed. Sis, i may have found my new go to. I mean le crepe is gone :( so yeah i can’t think of another place that beats this, so yeah, im calling it. “Had a baby shower there in the private room and it was wonderful, the food was amazing, and the drinks were great, the waitress that was taking care of our party did an incredible job keeping the food and drinks full and lots of fresh plates, she kept the tables clear of dirty plates, best experience ever, loved the outdoor area also.“

“Had a great experience today. We were sat immediately and our server Lora was fantastic and understood exactly how to serve us.

The food was fantastic and clearly the chef and kitchen staff care about the food that comes out of their kitchen.

We had several appetizers and an entire.

I will start with the bruschetta, wow what a treat. The bread was thin and perfectly toasted. The prosciutto, salmon & capers, apple & honey and the blue cheese & almond slivers were all fantastic and I would have been happy with just this.

The seared Broccoli ricotta and hot honey was amazing. It could have been charred for more flavor but it was a solid win for sure.

Our entree was the beet salad with salmon. Wow…well done across the board. Perfectly cooked salmon and the beet salad was amazing.

I will be back to try the rest.
