“Top marks across the board! My family and I have been dining in here for years and have never had anything but good things to say about them. So for our wedding my wife and I had a German themed wedding that could be described as an old world decorated ceremony and dinner with an Oktoberfest reception. Anyways, we needed food to be catered and there being only about two restaurants in the valley that could support this, we were able to come to an agreement with Chef Luis and his staff here at Haus Murphy's. This was a wedding planned for a max of 175 people to attend, there was not that many to attend but we ordered enough food for that amount of people. Our request was for giant pretzels and stuffed mushrooms for the cocktail hour with their mustard and cheese dips. Main course was Eisbein, The BIG Smoked Beefy Bratwurst, Kilometer, spätzle, potato pancakes, German potato salad, and sauerkraut. Chef Luis nailed it!!! The food was definitely one of THE MOST talked about hits at our wedding and I could not agree more! I love this place and it will always be high on my recommendations for friends and family who visit the valley and is a Downtown Glendale treasure.“

“This is HANDS DOWN by far the best Mexican Food Ive had thats AUTHENTIC! I come from South California Mexican American family so this is seriously MY NEW FAVORITE 24Hour Authentic Mexican food restaurant!! I cant recommend it enough! “Stopped by for their Monday $25 burger + wine pairing and it was so worth it!! I did try their house orange wine which was just okay, but the burger was amazing!
My girlfriend also wanted an espresso martini, but they were 'sold out.' But it was only 5pm on a Monday, I wasn't sure how that was possible.
We were also at a relatively small dining table and there was no where to put our purses down, I really wish small hooks under tables were more standard!
I'd definitely be back for their Monday burger special.“

“Love the wine and the self-serve with several options and pour sizes.
But the food!!!!! Every bite was better than the previous. We tried the empanadas, maduras, street corn dip, Cubano, rice, and pan con lechon - everything was amazing. But the pan con lechon and the street corn dip were our faves.
Atmosphere is fresh, warm and inviting. The music was great and a perfect volume to enjoy, but not drown out our conversation. Service was excellent - took the time to explain how the self-serve wine works and answered our questions.
Highly recommend and cant wait to return.“

“This is a nice taproom with ample choices of your favorite brew. I tried the hefe moon bay and psuedo ale, if that's not your cup of tea there is 16 on draft and plenty more in cans. There is a nice patio with mist too. Inside is a break from the heat and you can catch your favorite game while enjoying your drink.“

“Theadore is my favorite place downtown Phoenix. However I feel like the variety of drinks is limited and basic. I’m gluten free and always come here for a beer. And the amount of gluten free beers and ciders are always inconsistent. One day they will have a gf ipa and the next day nothing remotely gluten free. I have friends who aren’t gluten free and just enjoy a cider. And I came today and there weren’t any. All in all a great place“

“First I found going in though the kitchen was interesting. James from Cape Cod showed us to our table. He was marvelous. The atmosphere was amazing. We felt we were back in the 1950’s. Corey our waiter was very attentive. We first ordered something to drink. He gave us a while to enjoy them and talk. We then ordered our dinners. I had the Prime Rib and my husband ordered Filet Mignon. They both were made with perfection. Various staff members kept filling our water glasses. After dinner Corey came with an incredible Strawberry Shortcake. That was a gift for our first time there. We will definitely come back the next time we visit Phoenix.“

“Service was exceptional. I would have to say that the prices are a little out of control. I went there fully expecting to pay an arm and a leg for a steak, I just didn't realize it would cost both arms and legs. There were five of us and we got three starters to share, one soup, one salad, five entrees, three sides and dessert. No alcohol. We spent $1,100.“

“We found out about this bar sort of by accident after dining at Valentine's. When we went in it was early so we were the only ones in the place, very cool vibe, with Miles Davis playing. Alyssa (sp?) came right to our table and gave us a full rundown on the drinks and helped w/recommendations. The drinks were fantastic, interesting blend of flavors and textures. We will be back! Great experince!“

“Parking can be a struggle at The Fred but it's worth it. I had the Croquet Monsieur and it was absolutely decadent! What an absolute treat and priced well despite having a more upscale feel to the interior. Small dining area so often there's a wait or you need a reservation.“

“This is fast becoming our favorite spot for dinner and drinks with the girls on our side of town. Limoncello martinis are a delight! And we’ve enjoyed everything we’ve tried on the menu from the Chicken Med or Picatta to several of the pasta dishes. If you want something lighter but tantalizing, the generously portioned Bruschetta Board is my new favorite. Staff is great, friendly service, reasonable prices. Live music on Saturday night (and one other night but I forgot which one :)
