“Top marks across the board! My family and I have been dining in here for years and have never had anything but good things to say about them. So for our wedding my wife and I had a German themed wedding that could be described as an old world decorated ceremony and dinner with an Oktoberfest reception. Anyways, we needed food to be catered and there being only about two restaurants in the valley that could support this, we were able to come to an agreement with Chef Luis and his staff here at Haus Murphy's. This was a wedding planned for a max of 175 people to attend, there was not that many to attend but we ordered enough food for that amount of people. Our request was for giant pretzels and stuffed mushrooms for the cocktail hour with their mustard and cheese dips. Main course was Eisbein, The BIG Smoked Beefy Bratwurst, Kilometer, spätzle, potato pancakes, German potato salad, and sauerkraut. Chef Luis nailed it!!! The food was definitely one of THE MOST talked about hits at our wedding and I could not agree more! I love this place and it will always be high on my recommendations for friends and family who visit the valley and is a Downtown Glendale treasure.“

“This is a nice taproom with ample choices of your favorite brew. I tried the hefe moon bay and psuedo ale, if that's not your cup of tea there is 16 on draft and plenty more in cans. There is a nice patio with mist too. Inside is a break from the heat and you can catch your favorite game while enjoying your drink.“

“The dining room is very open and tables are close so it's noisy. The decor has an Asian touch that is attractive. It is very busy but with a reservation seating is only a few minutes. The wine, fish and dessert are very good. Parking is difficult, they could use a few more spaces.“

“Theadore is my favorite place downtown Phoenix. However I feel like the variety of drinks is limited and basic. I’m gluten free and always come here for a beer. And the amount of gluten free beers and ciders are always inconsistent. One day they will have a gf ipa and the next day nothing remotely gluten free. I have friends who aren’t gluten free and just enjoy a cider. And I came today and there weren’t any. All in all a great place“

“Fleming's Peoria does fantastic wine dinners. Scott Starkman is a friendly sommelier who knows the wine and is the gracious host, and Chef Marco is a food magician. The service is wonderful. To be sure, they do a great job just on the normal dining room experience, but the wine dinners go to the next level. The most recent one had a Judgement of Paris theme and let us try new world vs. old world style wine head to head. Highly recommended!“

“We found out about this bar sort of by accident after dining at Valentine's. When we went in it was early so we were the only ones in the place, very cool vibe, with Miles Davis playing. Alyssa (sp?) came right to our table and gave us a full rundown on the drinks and helped w/recommendations. The drinks were fantastic, interesting blend of flavors and textures. We will be back! “First I found going in though the kitchen was interesting. James from Cape Cod showed us to our table. He was marvelous. The atmosphere was amazing. We felt we were back in the 1950’s. Corey our waiter was very attentive. We first ordered something to drink. He gave us a while to enjoy them and talk. We then ordered our dinners. I had the Prime Rib and my husband ordered Filet Mignon. They both were made with perfection. Various staff members kept filling our water glasses. After dinner Corey came with an incredible Strawberry Shortcake. That was a gift for our first time there. We will definitely come back the next time we visit Phoenix.“
