***Update January 2026. They usually do have someone who speaks English now. Also, I usually get a Mexican Coke and I rarely ever get agua frescas at Mexican places because mostly they use the bogus corn syrup artificial flavored concentrates. Well not El Tacoson. I took a chance and got a jamaica. Let me tell you it's the BEST jamaica I've ever had anywhere and it's not even close. It's authentic homemade on a different level than all the rest. I wish I could give them extra stars.“

“The first time I came to eat here was about 5 years ago. I hardly ever write reviews but this place deserves it. Great service. Great food. I get the tacos combo: 2 tacos (your choice of meat and style), Sonoran dog, and a soda. I also order French fries, but that’s mostly because they have those classic diner fries from the 80’s/90’s. Haha. They have a KILLER salsa bar. Different salsas, guacamole, cucumbers, mushrooms, cheese…All the goods! I don’t live on that side of town, so I drive 35 minutes but if I did I would weigh 600 pounds. I could eat there everyday and have something different for months/years. CHECK THIS PLACE OUT!! Indoor and outdoor dining. The outdoor is covered with misters and fans.“

“This is a no-frills taco shop with a drive thru. Prices are reasonable & the food is good. Had one of the daily specials, a chicken burrito. It was delicious. Honestly way better than some of the fancier Mexican restaurants around the Tucson area. You would think there would be a lot of options given how close to the border Tucson is, but sadly no. You can get better Mexican food on the east coast. Only downside of my meal @ Lito’s was the guac, which is more like avocado paste. Very basic. Otherwise, my experience was good.“

The atmosphere is like when you're dragged around by ur dad so he can stop and talk to his buddies all the while you're in car hot and they give you soup instead of a soda. They take cash or zelle only the guy let us go and come back on the honor system but I stayed behind on good faith. The food is good for when you just want to be fed already and you just want someone to pick a place. “Always worth the drive. My family and I followed them from when they were located on Benson hwy and Columbus. We were so lucky to find them after a year of looking for them. The food is great. The staff always gets it right and customizes our order with special requests.
