Had a special breakfast to celebrate my birthday today. Great space and even better food! The staff was very helpful and kind.
My sister and I visited New Penny Cafe and we NOT disappointed. From entry to exit, it was a pleasant experience. Shopping corner with cute items and great food. Service was great and they seemed happy to see and serve us. Great place! 5 stars from me!

New Penny Cafe is a hidden gem in Avondale, offering a wide variety of breakfast, lunch, and snack options. The spacious and welcoming environment includes indoor and outdoor seating, with a cozy patio setup. The extensive menu features not only coffee and tea drinks but also boozy options. The Elote Avocado Toast is a must-try, topped with pickled onion for a flavorful twist. The Zebra coffee is highly recommended, especially when served iced. Customers can enjoy a range of dishes, from smoothie bowls to burritos, with reasonable prices compared to chain cafes. The friendly staff provides quick service, making the overall experience a 5/5. Visitors have praised the good food and drinks, noting that prices are fair. The environment is cute, and there are often beautiful flower arrangements by FERN Floral Studio to enjoy while waiting. The California burrito is delicious, and the iced coffee is pretty good. The cafe can get busy on weekends, but during weekdays, there is plenty of space. The cafe is a perfect spot for casual meals or coffee dates, attracting a diverse clientele including moms, grandparents, and even firefighters. Customers also enjoy browsing the local vendors inside while waiting for their orders. The chicken and waffles and breakfast burrito are popular choices, and the coffee, especially the dirty chai, is often highlighted as excellent. Although some find it a bit expensive, many agree that the quality and friendly service make it a favorite.
