I have no idea why this place is not PACKED every single day? The atmosphere is perfect, especially at the small cozy bar. And the manager, Ricardo, has his staff polite & professional. I have known Ricardo for 20 years (over ten years at Carlota's). Ask to meet him. You will make a new friend....
Carlota's is always clean, it's well-decorated, they have a beautiful bar area, the best house-made bloody mary mix (and I don't even like bloody marys), and the most incredible service! We live in Peoria, but when business brings us down this way, we get excited because we know we can eat lunch here.
The food, however, would be worth the drive/day-trip with friends, which we plan on doing in the near future.

I cannot recommend this place enough! And ask to sit in Ricardo's section. He seriously...
