I walked in late on their last hour on a weekday night this week, and for the summer slow season, I was impressed. Most small business restaurants shorten their hours. (They are open until 9 pm

It felt like I was dining in their home by the decor, atmosphere, and especially the service. Pete, the chef/owners husband, takes pride in their family business and is exceptionally warm and hospitable with every guest!

My Pad Thai with beef was served with a generous helping of protein compared to all my past Thai restaurant experiences. Moreover, it was mouthwatering, the beef was SO tender, and the dish itself was not dry like some pad thai's.

I was so relaxed there I forgot to take photos beyond my food. But I will catch up when I return several times to devour the entire menu, one dish at a time!“

Grandsons enjoyed the atmosphere a lot. We ate on the front porch. A roadrunner visited us too.
LOVED the GRAVY. Our server recommended it.
The prices are very good. Nice sized servings.

“Ofrendas was very disappointing when we ate there with friends. The place is a really cool place with lots of character. But! My husband ordered a screwdriver and they had no OJ. So then he ordered a vodka 7 and got soda. So he told the server and they again sent the wrong drink. Someone else ordered a Mexican beer and they were also out of that. On top of it our server was terrible. Two out of 4 dinners were served Luke warm almost cold. And there were hardly no people in the restaurant so not sure what the problem was. Needless to say we will not be going back.“

“My wife and I went there for lunch on 7/29. The atmosphere was amazing...the food was perfect/delicious. The owner, Steve, was so nice and made sure we were happy. And that's even taking into account it was pretty packed there. Definitely a must go there!!

One thing that really stuck out...some local kids are allowed to hang out in there and cool off on hot days. They are even provided their own reusable cups to get drinks with. Steve shows compassion to others, where other establishments won't. Big win in my book!!“

“I went there with a large group (nearly 20) and we had the most wonderful time. The environment felt like a family dinner, the food like a home cooked meal. The highlight was by far the Cesar salad. The staff was amazing and friendly and made it a great night. The even accommodated us on short notice on a Saturday night.

The group I was with had just spent the day commemorating the life of a lost friend and dinner at your restaurant was really heartwarming and healing. Thank you Albert, Roberto and everyone else who served us.“

“Def bar atmosphere. Great for going with friends to watch football or other sports. Very loud but when you’re looking for that atmosphere it’s great. There is a large selection of food on their menu. I only gave 4 stars regarding their take out process. I called in a take out order and the young lady sounded like she def would rather be somewhere else. When I picked up my order, same attitude. I’ve been going to this restaurant for 8 years. Mostly sit inside to eat. Seems like the same thing each time, staff just don’t act like they are enjoying their job. As time has gone on, I have frequented less and less. I just think there are other food services that try a bit harder with their customers.

Parking: Good luck finding parking on Friday Saturday night. The lot is a hot mess

“A great neighborhood pizza place! They serve pizza by the slice for lunchtime at a great price. Barro’s on Cave Creek Rd is very supportive of local school groups like our high school band, and always willing to host a restaurant night to help us out. (Fast turn on getting the turnout numbers and check too) We absolutely love our local Barro’s Pizza! And yes, of course the pizza is delicious. Win-win for everyone, and scrumptious pizza. 🍕🍕❤️❤️“

“We live the food at all the Babbo's. We usually go to the one in North Glendale, but we work in Scottsdale and go to the one at the Pavilions often too. This one up North off Tatum is way out of our way, but we randomly decided to go. Food was great, as usual, service was not so great. The lady serving us was snooty, and never smiled. She also didn't come around often to fill out drinks or bread and oil. Location is in a strip-mall. All you can see is a big McDonald's and part of a car wash. It's not as nice as the others we frequent, but better than the one off 12th Street. That one has the worst atmosphere.“

“Not sure why this place has low ratings.
This chain has always been a must go visit when my partner is with me.
They have fresh bagels and buns, and you can buy them to go and freeze them or eat them as you like.
They sell their own cream cheese spread too.
Staff was super friendly and welcoming here.
Apologetic to be out of items we’d hoped to get.
The wait is a bit - 5-10 minutes but worth it if you plan for it and want to get the quality.
It was fairly clean.
The parking lot was smaller here but manageable. Came around ten am on a Tuesday.
Would return.
They seem to have a good selection of tasty sandwich options.
I like the little outdoor patio in the shade. Would be a great place to pull out a book or do some writing while enjoying a tasty sandwich.
