Overpriced, xlarge pizza with 3 toppings over $41? Sausage or pepperoni had an odd taste to it. Ordered well done but crust was still soft and chewy. Pizza was cut but still had to use a knife to separate the pieces. I lived in Chicago area most of my life and this is not a Chicago pizza. Sad, bit what I remember from Chicago days at Lou Malnatti.
I believe this location is for takeout only so I can’t comment on the atmosphere. Otherwise it’s an absolute gem of a local pizza place! The food quality here is consistently outstanding, every bite bursting with flavor. The value for the delicious dishes they serve is truly exceptional. As someone who has eaten at many Lou Malnati’s in Chicago, I can say this is not even comparable. I get it, it’s a chain. But nothing tastes fresh, and it tastes like everything was flown in frozen. For example, the deep dish crust is supposed to be thick and flavorful. But the crust ended up thin and tasted like cardboard. You’re honestly better off going to little Caesars and saving your money. $40 for a horrible knockoff deep dish is insane.
