“We were looking to grab a drink after hiking the Jail Trail and came across this bar in downtown Cottonwood. The State Bar is an all-Arizona beer and wine bar. They have a good selection of local beers, ciders, mead and wine on tap. State Bar is located between Bocce Pizzeria and Burning Tree Cellars. They have a indoor bar area and an outdoor patio with tables, heaters and patio games. They also have live music on occasional evenings. I love the chill vibe here. “This place sure is fun. The service food staff and atmosphere are worth the visit alone, but the real fun is on Wednesday nights for bingo!! “Nice dive bar! Beer was super cheap and bartenders were cool. Really enjoyed the outside area consisting of corn hole, fire pits, games, etc. Really unique. Wish it was a little busier for a Saturday night but you can definitely tell the locals apart from the tourists haha. Regardless, we felt welcomed.“
“I almost don't want to give a review as to be selfish and keep this gem to myself. For starters, our server was amazing. She was so personable and gave great suggestions. We ordered an antipasto salad that was so delectable with fresh veggies and meat. Then we ordered the pizza special and after living in Italy for 3 years, this pizza has been the closest I've had to true Italian pizza since leaving. We had the green apple martini with blackberry infused liqueur and it was so good. I never would have thought to put those ingredients together. I spoke with the manager upon leaving to let him know my thoughts on how wonderful this restaurant is and I've told several friends to visit. We will be stopping in EVERY time we are near Cottonwood.“
“This place is phenomenal. Good prices, clean atmosphere, and great clientele. We had an absolute blast here, from what I can remember lol Bartender was great and their cooler is a relic from the past that still works like a dream. They don't make ''em like that anymore! They also have a patio out back with plenty of seating. I highly recommend this spot if you want to drink with the locals and have a really good time.“

“The wines here are a little hit or miss for me, but they have a malvasia bianca that is kicking, so I can't help but give it a little love. The service was really great, and I loved how it was quiet and chill when we stopped in. They have an amazing view from a comfortable seating area. There are even a few board and card games you can play while hanging out. There was an adult version of Trivial Pursuit was a lot of laughs. It is located in the back of a record store that is excellent for people watching, and I kind of feel bad for the staff having to deal with crazy fans, but it is what it is. I liked that the pretension level was dialed way back from Caduceus next door.“

“This was quite a surprise find! We loved all of the smoked meats- hard to choose a favorite. I would recommend trying the sampler platter. Any leftovers are great in a breakfast burrito or as toppings on a homemade pizza. We’ll happily come again when we are in the area on future travels. Keep up making the exceptional menu.“
