We were in Flagstaff on the first leg of our cross country Route 66 trip. I researched vegan and pescatarian fast food options beforehand. None of the other fast food places had fish sandwiches, but lucky us: we found BK and both ordered the impossible burger. It was tasty and burger-like in every way. Kind of a long wait though. I wouldn't describe our counter person as friendly but he was a cute young man in his 20s, one of the perks of passing through a university town.
I usually like Burger King. This time the burger was cold. I also ordered it without a bun with mayonnaise and cut in half. It came whole with no mayonnaise. I still have it a 4 star because the people were so nice.
We all know the bar for a Burger King is fairly low to begin with, so it comes as a surprise when one manages to fall below it. This location only provides kiosks to place orders, so that wound up taking twice as long while I hunted through options to piece together my own order. But, relieving the employees of this task should free them up to quickly process orders, right? Wrong. The folks working seemed too distracted by their own conversations to be able to handle other tasks....
