Fat Olives in Flagstaff is absolutely wonderful. The food was delicious and truly authentic, and the service was amazing—especially considering we dined there on Christmas Eve Eve, when restaurants are usually extra busy.
On Christmas Eve, I realized I had accidentally left my crossbody bag at the restaurant the night before. Even though they were closed for the holiday, the staff went out of their way to open the restaurant just to return my bag before we headed back to Phoenix....
This is a very popular local place. We were staying a night in Flagstaff and found it online. We actually arrived in the dinner period and found it already packed. Fortunately, they were able to accommodate us immediately. \n We ordered a 'regular' style pizza, as opposed to their Neapolitan offerings. Should we return, we'll try those. The pizza was classic wood-fired oven style with crispy crust and flavorful toppings. Most enjoyable.\n The staff were attentive...
We really enjoyed our dinner here (meatballs, pizza, desserts). Didn't realize it had been on TripleD until I saw the menu (then remembered seeing the owner on the show). It was busy but we didn't have to wait (on Sunday evening).
