I just bought their strawberry rhubarb pie down at the Flag farmers market. It was still warm. I couldn't wait to try it and when I got home I dug into it. It is exactly what I was hoping for, it was awesome. Strawberry rhubarb is one of my most favorite pies. I didn't know this business existed and now that I know I will be getting more pies. It's a must buy and try!
I honestly wanted this to be the new replacement for Coco's, but it's not quite therel Way too much lard in the pastry. Boy did I smell it the next day. On the bright side it was packed so full of delicious filling. And the lard crust was relatively light and flaky.
The pies were awesome! In town for a HS robotics competition on 3/14 and needed some pies to celebrate National Pi Day (3.14). Pie Guys was willing to take our next day order, pick up location and form of payment. The cream pies were a hit (banana, chocolate, coconut, and German chocolate) with the students and the raspberry-peach pie was my favorite. If I lived in the area I would make it a point to try them all. The delicious pies and the owners flexibility overcame the communication...
