“While I’m very glad to have a Dutch Bros in Fountain Hills I must admit, this is an interesting choice for a location. Dutch Bros famously has a youthful atmosphere. Current top 40 hits always playing, bright colors, lots of options of sweet caffeinated drinks, and top notch friendly and extroverted service. I’ve lived in Fountain Hills almost my entire life and love it but ‘youthful’ would not be one of the first words I would use to describe it.I watched a very interesting interaction with an older customer accosting the staff that their K Cup make at home coffee was not up to her standards. This was an almost ten minute interaction where they were happy and quick to give her a refund and offer her a free drink in between her lengthy and unkind words. They made her feel heard, spoke to her very gently, and she left thanking them. They also gave me a free drink in between taking care of her.I fully intend to be frequently going to this location for the great coffee and customer service.“

“I had a delicious breakfast sandwich and a donut .Both were good. The sandwich was huge..saved half for later.

They now have fried chicken for lunch and I understand it's delicious. That will be the next thing I try.“

“Black Rock Coffee Bar on Thompson Peak and Bell is an absolute gem for a hang in the neighborhood. The team is friendly and knowledgeable on their coffee and food and helpful on finding the right drink for me.

The atmosphere is great, from the music to design and furniture. We found it conducive to a productive conversation. Clean, modern, but a little more upscale to the big competitor.

At FreshBox, the difference is obvious right away. The ingredients are actually good. The tomatoes taste like tomatoes. The pickled onions are perfect. The mushrooms are flavorful, not soggy. And the dressings? Total game-changer. With Salad-and-Go, I usually end up ditching their dressing and using something from my fridge. But here? I could drink the dressing—seriously.

And yes, the price is higher. But that’s because it’s better on purpose. You're getting real ingredients, made by real people who care about what they’re serving you.

Bonus: you’re not stuck yelling your order at a drive-thru speaker. You actually get to chat with someone who understands what you want and makes it just right.

“Somehow this Black Rock Coffee location is able to hire the most pleasant, courteous, and really fun employees. Even new employees quickly learn customer names and their preferred drink. There is one negative to this place, and it’s not the employees fault. But coming to this location in the afternoon can be frustrating because they only have one employee working. Wait times to get a drink can get way too long when its busy. If you’re in a hurry, afternoons at this location can easily delay you.“

“Incredible food as normal, my favorite is the California club, get it on a sun dried tomato basil wrap and it's an absolute treat. The vegan buzz is a great alternative for my dairy free friends on a warm summer day. This particular location has great service, the dining area is a hair small, they could definitely improve that as I came to eat here and the entire restaurant was taken over by a seniors meeting playing backamon.“
