“I can't say enough about this place! It's amazing! The food, the staff, the cleanliness - all amazing. I know everyone says this, but they really do treat you like family. We've been going here for a few years now, and we have honestly never had a bad experience. In fact, we've never hard just an "okay" experience. It's always been great. If you don't check it out once, you're just missing out. Literally our favorite place to eat in Arizona.“
“Stopped by when I visited family during thanksgiving because I like to try new places, and I was not let down. The chicken was fresh and moist, the rice was fluffy, the pita bread was warm, and the sauces had so much flavor. Would definitely visit this place again when I visit Arizona. I think the family that owns it is the family running it, which the service was very prompt and friendly. Oh, try the fries. So worth it.“
“Went with 6 others after theater .Lots of choices of food and drinks.Everything was great we'll be going back.Vegetarian options: Had the stuffed red pepper.Shared mushroom and zucchini plate with ranch sauce. All very good. Others had meat dishes and everything looked good and we were all happy.“
“I DoorDash from this restaurant multiple times throughout the week and they never disappoint! The food is always hot and fresh and they consistently get my special orders/requests correct. The chicken sharwarma is 10/10– would definitely recommend!! To top it off, the staff is courteous and customer service oriented which is rare to find these days.“
“Great local spot, but no longer allowing me to substitute hummus for falafel which I don't eat really turns me off and keeps me from ordering as often as I used to. As a fellow small business owner, I suggest following the mantra to "Find a way to say yes". I'm not asking much.“
“Every once and awhile there exists a spot that has a neighborhood vibe, a special feel among the throng of suburban chains that is America.George’s exceeds regularly all preconceived notions of a strip mall eatery. It’s worth the trip. It’s worth the money. It’s a valuable place to get quality food and great service from those that take pride in their product. It’s rare to find. The risotto? Wow! Fantastic.Chicken Parm? Awesome!Pizza Puffs?Only place outside Chitown. Bomb! There’s some crusty regulars which are crude, but that not George’s fault. The food is fantastic. Reasonable and prepared with pride. It’s awesome.Btw, I’ve been a regular since George and his crazy hair was there daily…“
“Cutomer service was great, friendly and helpful staff, clean tables and the food was served hot, with large portions and delicious. Our salad was fresh and crispy. The meat combo with chicken and lamb kabobs was marinated and cooked to perfection, which was served with grilled veggies, rice, pita, and tzatziki. We also shared a generous portion of Dolmades and Calamari and were not disappointed by the generous portions.“
“This place is definitely worth the wait. The food takes its time coming on certain dishes but everything is made fresh!! I have never had a bad meal and I eat here all the time. The kibbeh appetizer with the tzatziki sauce(drool) is like my mom making it at home. The green corner combo is my go to and feeds two people. Love the lamb chop dish as well. The employees are always polite and the place clean. Great Middle Eastern food!“
“Great lunch today, The menuis very well organized and has lots of different combinations you can choose from. They allowed me to make the modifications i requested today and the food was a good quality. The restaurant and bathrooms were clean, and the Customer service was on point. I recommend the hummus and protein plate that is what I enjoyed today. I will be back soon!“
“It's just a tiny little place in the plaza. But the Gyros are soooooo good! Smothered in tzatziki sauce(not sure that's how it's spelled) and they feel like they weigh about a pound a piece! A gyro with fries was only about $10 and one is definitely enough.Do these guys a favor and try them out. But don't be like the others who thought they could come in 15 minutes before close and grab one! They get pretty busy and have to stop taking orders if they ever want to go home! They have never disappointed me. ?“
“Best gyro and humus in town and would definitely recommend the gyro supreme plate and a small Greek salad. Service from the gentleman at the counter is friendly and fast. Best value for your buck! The price is reasonable and definitely worth it!“
“At first i thought it was a little pricey, but i didn't really care much since i was *really* craving a gyro, but i got some serious value for my money! The food portions are great as well as the food itself! The meat was soft and flavorful and the veggies were fresh! Fries were perfect and crispy!“
“I love the Chicken Shawarma ! I usually come here when my husband is out camping! Told the Owner I was gluten free! He told me he is to! Said make sure you tell me that because I take that very serious and don't want to make you sick! I really appreciate him being so concerned! Can't wait to go back and try something new on the menu since he knows I can't eat gluten!“
“Safe to say this was a great restaurant to go too. The front desk workers were very nice and very patient with me. It was my first time at the restaurant and Zain helped me distinguish what meal is which. The food was very good, a little bit on the greasier side but it hit all the right spots. Would recommend green corner to anyone interested in exploring the Mediterranean side of AZ!“
“This place is always a hit. The gyro meat is cooked well, not too wet or dry, AND the baklava here is THEEE best. I always get 2 haha! My husband and I order pickup about once a week, and it's my favorite. Everything is cooked to order so just know if you walk in there is a bit of a wait but DEF worth it!“
“2/24/24: good food, clean restaurant, attentive & friendly servers, decently priced. Their hummus was smooth, creamy, and well flavored; same with the tzatziki. The only thing I was not happy about was the pita that came out with the hummus appetizer - sure it was store bought (flat and thin). Yet when we asked for some to take home (we had hummus leftover), that pita was thicker and fluffier (the way it should be!).Would we return to Pita Island? Not likely, but only because we live on the west side of the valley. The food was not so excellent to warrant the drive. If we lived closer, yes we would return.“
